Trenton

It was dark. There’s nighttime dark, where the moon and stars are shining, so it’s only kind of dark. But this was not that. This was complete and utter darkness. Like can’t see hand in front of face darkness. We were trapped on a catwalk, unable to see, with no knowledge of where we are. I felt around for the handrail on the side of the catwalk, and, when I found it, proceeded to run to the other side. As I stepped off of the catwalk, I felt a plummeting sensation in my stomach. I never landed on the cold hard ground as I had expected, but rather onto a furry carpet. I heard Kathryn jumping around the cavernous room, avoiding obstacles such as conveyor belts and catwalks as best as she could in the dark. I reached into my pocket and grabbed my sunglasses. I whipped them on and grabbed a small LED pocket flashlight. I flicked it on and it sputtered to life. I looked down at what I was sitting on and realized it was the beast! I scurried off and searched for the light switch. I found the lever in the far corner and sprinted for it. I reached it and slammed it on. The lights flickered on and bathed the room in a white fluorescent light. I turned around the before me stood the beast, but it wasn’t the beast. It had turned into a giant snakelike monster. It was about fifty feet long and five feet in diameter. It had spines running down its back, and its tail was flanged with spikes. Its head was triangular shaped, like a viper, with spiked sticking out from the back. It still had the same fiery red eyes, merciless and cruel. It had wicked fangs protruding from its mouth that were over two feet long. It shrieked in fury and started slithering towards me.  I started sprinting away and tried to reestablish a connection between Kathryn and me. I finally found her and again we became one person with the same thoughts pouring through our heads. I told her to find an escape while I distracted the snake. I picked up a stone and hurled it at the monster. I caught its attention and it started slithering faster towards me. It hissed and started rearing back its head to strike at me. I dove to the side right as it struck forward. I rolled and turned around to face the snake. I made the mistake of looking into its eyes. Those murderous red eyes. Multiple visions passed through my head as I struggled to regain conscious. Visions of me dying repeatedly, different ways every time. Visions of things I’m scared of, running around my head again. Then, amongst the darkness, there’s a small white dove, telling me to follow it. I do and regain my regular vision. The snake had coiled itself around me, its head inches from mine. It must have hypnotized me somehow. I can’t move, and the snake is getting ready to eat me. Kathryn is in a difficult situation fending off the zombies and the slenderman with a large hunting knife and machete. Things couldn’t get much worse. Then the snake leans down to devour me.
