Serena

I wake up on a soft, springy ground. My surroundings are blurry and I hear groans all around me. The others are here too. I stumble to my feet and help Kylie up. We take a look around this arena type place.

"Where are we?" Kylie starts, but is interrupted by a loud crashing noise and a cry. We hobble around a corner and into the giant arena. In the center is a humongous spider towering about eleven feet tall and six feet wide. Brown hair covered it and it clicks its mandibles at the prey beneath it. Kylie gasps and falls into hysterics. I can barely make out what the prey is and what she is saying. I feel lightheaded and can't keep focus. Kylie grasps my arm and sobs joyfully and sadly at the same time. My mind is so foggy.

"It's… it's... TRENTON!" she screams at me and my mind finally registers. I snag her arm before she can run into harm’s way. I'm not even sure if we can get hurt here. We might just be a fantasy in his real world. A wave of emotions crashes down on me. Tears stream down my cheeks, but I keep a tight hold on Kylie. Just as we think Trenton gives up, he springs to his feet. A burst of energy comes from him, knocking the monster back. Kathryn and Dawson collapse onto the soft floor. Trenton moves back and releases a gigantic tunnel of flames at the spider. Nathaniel falls to the ground, barely conscious. He jumps swiftly to the side and the spider comes crashing down on the spot he was just in. Kylie crumples in my arms. I finally realize what is happening. Trenton is using all of our powers against the spider. It's just me and Eric left standing. He slams down against the springy floor as the poison from the monsters fangs splashes against the cavern wall. Eric collapses. Now it's just me. I see something flicker across Trenton's eyes that's I’ve never seen before. Pure rage. I feel the energy being sucked out of me and feel him combine it with his. Suddenly, I crumple like a rag doll but stay awake. He takes our energy and dives into the spiders mind. It's screeches and I can hear a little voice screaming for mercy.

"Great... great j-job," I send through the mind waves weakly but the spiders screams block it. Trenton retracts out of its mind and the creature shakes wildly from fear. He gathers a wall of flames, sparking with energy and aims it at the monster. It shrieks and disappears into ash. Trenton looks around then dashes straight out the wall. I smile. He's alive. My mind goes fuzzy and the world spins into black.

"HE'S ALIVE. HE'S ALIVE!!" Kylie yells excitedly, jumping up in down. Watching her makes me sick. I've only been awake for ten minutes and I can't get up. Trenton literally used all of my energy against the spider. Kathryn braids her hair while the boys mutter around the table. Eric catches my eye and raises an eyebrow. I nod stiffly in response and he comes over to me.

"Can we talk?" he whispers, crouching by my bed.

“I wanted to apologize for being a jealous idiot. I've just been so confused lately about what to believe I started getting paranoid about us and I'm sorry for that."

"I'm sorry you're here in the first place," I croak.

"I love being here with you. Losing you was the worst thing that has ever happened to me. You are my everything and my entire world."

"Eric, I love you. Being apart from you was torture."

“I love you more. I actually counted how long we were apart," he says with a blush. He's so adorable.

"How long?" I smile.

"Four days, seven hours, and 23 minutes," he recites.

“And that's how long we will ever be apart," I grin and pull him into a hug. His strong arms wrap around me and he holds me close. He strokes my hair comfortingly. Being with him brings a joy I've never experienced before.

"Lets go find Trenton," Eric grins and pulls me up.

"Of course," I laugh and kiss him on the cheek as we walk toward the table. Let’s find Trenton.
