"Windy day today, isn't it?" Gidget quipped, running as fast as she could. She didn't get a reply though. Tiberius had his eyes on the black hat as it fluttered in the wind. He prayed the wind would stop or even slow down. But it didn't. If anything, it kept on blowing, taking the hat down a hill up ahead. Reaching the hill, the griffin gasped in horror as the hat blew right into a dark cave.

It was gone.

Legs shaking, Tiberius crumbled to the ground. His taloned forepaws covering his face, he trembled. He wasn't even aware that Gidget was next to him until he felt a tap on his shoulder. Lifting his head, his eyes met the fluffy white dog's eyes. "You okay mister?" Gidget asked, tapping his beak. Sitting back on her haunches, she commented, "If I didn't know better, I'd say you lost something."

"I did. That hat was the only clue I had of finding my son Norman and now it's gone," Tiberius whimpered, staring at the cave downhill. It appeared to be as dark as night down there. That black hat would blend right in. Following his gaze, Gidget bit her lip thoughtfully. Her face lit up a moment later as she jumped to her feet. "Let's go get that hat!" she barked cheerfully. Startled, Tiberius exclaimed, "Are you insane?! We can't find that hat in the dark!"

"Timothy-"

"It's Tiberius!"

"When life gets you down you know what you gotta do?" Gidget asked, coming back up the hill. Frowning, Tiberius grumbled, "Do I even wanna know?" Wagging her tail, the fluffy white dog replied, "You just gotta keep moving! Like this." Taking the griffin's paw, she helped pull him to his feet as she started singing, "Just keep moving, just keep moving."

"Gidget, please stop," Tiberius begged. Caught up in her own little song, Gidget went on, "What do we do, we keep on moving." The fluffy white dog continued singing as she led the griffin down the hill and into the cave. The pair were swiftly engulfed by the darkness. And yet Gidget remained happy as she belted out, "Just keep moving, just keep-"

"Dang it Gidget! It's in my head now!" Tiberius shouted. "Sorry," Gidget apologized. The two stood in complete silence, alone in the dark together. Glancing over his shoulder, Tiberius shivered when he couldn't even see the cave entrance. How far inside did they go? The griffin did not like this at all. Worse thing about this, he had a bad feeling there was something else down here with them. Chills running up and down his spine, he mumbled, "Hey, Gidget-"

"Ah! Who's that?!" Gidget screamed. His striped tail lashing side to side, Tiberius scoffed, "Seriously? It's me Gidget!" Silence followed those words until the fluffy white dog finally dared to ask, "Are... are you my conscience?" The griffin facepalmed when he heard that. Rolling his eyes, he tried his hardest not to lose his temper as he played along, "Yes Gidget, I'm your conscience. It's been a while. How are you?" The dog replied back, "Like I'm being watched. But I feel better with you around."

"Yeah, same here. Now Gidget, tell me, do you see anything? Maybe a black hat?" Tiberius asked. Humming to herself, the fluffy white dog responded, "I don't see anything yet, it's pretty dark. Oh wait, I see a light!" Turning around, Tiberius squinted. He could see a bright light as well. "Hey conscience, am I dead?" Gidget questioned. Shaking his head, the griffin answered, "No, I'm seeing it too."

"Then that's a sure sign of me being dead!" Gidget pointed out. The pair kept staring at the strange light. They actually started walking up to it. "What is it?" Tiberius mumbled, tilting his head to the side. Giving it a sniff, Gidget remarked, "Don't know but I wanna touch it." True to her word, she gently batted it with her paw. The light reacted, jumping away a foot or so. Their eyes wide with amazement, Gidget and Tiberius looked at each other. Wagging her tail, Gidget cried, "It's mine!"

"Not if I get it first!" Tiberius replied, racing after both Gidget and the light. There was just something about it that made all of the negative feelings go away. The griffin could've sworn he heard himself purring. He and Gidget chased after the light as it continued hopping away, both trying to catch it. The fluffy white dog almost had it when she suddenly stopped. Halting right beside her, Tiberius saw what was wrong. There was a row of huge teeth laying in front of them and the light appeared to be attached to a tongue. The mouth slowly rose up to a very high height as a pair of glowing green eyes opened. Shaking, Gidget whimpered, "I don't want it anymore, the light is yours."

With a deafening screech, the cave serpent lit up its entire body like the night sky and lunged at the pair.
