"What's out there?" Gidget asked nervously. Getting up to his feet, Tiberius murmured, "I don't know Gidget." They both jumped when a big blue eye came into view, peering down into the hole. It vanished then to be replaced by a huge furry white paw reaching inside. Grabbing the two animals, it hoisted them out. The pair found themselves face to face with a white Chinese dragon.

"They're still alive..." Tiberius mumbled in awe. Her eyes round with amazement, Gidget whispered, "Do you think this is... what's his name?" Sitting down on the palm of the massive paw, the griffin replied, "Yes, this is the great Hu." Clearing her throat, the fluffy white dog cracked her knuckles as she declared, "Don't worry bestie, I'll do the talking. Oh GrEaT hU-"

"Gidget, how about I try? I know a bit of dragonese," Tiberius interrupted before Gidget could continue. He could already tell it was hurting the dragon's ears. Stepping forward, the griffin rasped, "Qǐng bāngzhù wǒmen Hú. Wǒmen xūyào zhǎodào wǒ de érzi." Purring softly as a smile spread across his face, Hu bowed his head. Dropping down to all fours, he let the two companions up on his back.

"You can speak mythical creature?!" Gidget exclaimed. Patting the canine on the head, Tiberius reminded her, "I am a mythical creature. If you would like, I can teach you some of the individual languages." The fluffy white dog wagged her tail, delighted at the idea. At that moment, Hu let out a soft bellow. Turning to Gidget, Tiberius translated, "He says hold on."

"Why- WOAH!" Gidget squeaked the last part out when Hu began rising into the air and above the foggy forest. Running on the wind, the Chinese dragon and his two passengers sailed across the night sky. Getting over her initial fright, Gidget howled, "This is amazing!" Laughing alongside her, Tiberius purred, "Enjoying the ride?"

"Oh heck yes! We should do this again sometime Tiberius," Gidget replied. A gasp escaping from her as she realized what she said, she grabbed the griffin. "I remembered your name! I actually remembered your name!" she yipped excitedly, shaking him. Then she pulled him into a bone crushing hug. Her tail wagging a million miles per hour, she barked, "Isn't it great?!"

"Can't... breathe..." Tiberius wheezed. Gidget was remarkably strong for a small dog. Thankfully she released her hold on the griffin as she shouted, "Let's get to that city and save Norman!" There was another gasp before the dog began squealing like a fangirl, "I remembered something else!"
