The deer herd all screamed in terror as more gunshots rang out. Gidget and the griffins hunkered down as the herd bounded away. Humans on vehicles came bursting out of the woods. His fur and feathers bristling, Tiberius hissed, "We need to get out of here, come on!" He ran, Gidget and Norman hot on his tail. They made a beeline towards one stretch of woods, hoping they would be safe. Upon arriving, they still believed that until Norman piped up, "Dad, where's Gidget?"

"She was right behind us," Tiberius murmured, looking around. His son helped him. But the two mythical creatures soon got their answer when they heard Gidget screaming for help. They were horrified to see one of the humans on a motorbike had caught her. While most of the hunters went after the fleeing deer herd, a few stayed behind. One threw Gidget into a cage. "Dad, what are we going to do?" Norman asked fearfully. Thinking for a moment, Tiberius muttered, "Wait here, I'm grabbing Gidget."

"But what about the deer? They'll be slaughtered!" Norman squeaked. Chasing after his father down the hill, he proposed, "I can get Gidget, I know what to do." Turning around, Tiberius retorted, "Absolutely not. I only just got you back, I am not losing you again!" Meeting his dad's gaze, Norman insisted, "You have to trust me. We need to save Gidget and the deer. I can do this."

Lost for words, Tiberius stared at his son. Norman had changed since his abduction. He seemed more confident in himself, more sure. The griffin sighed softly as he mumbled, "You're right, you can do this. I know you can Norman." Nuzzling his son lovingly, he added, "Just be careful, okay?"

"I will Dad, don't worry," Norman promised, nuzzling his dad back. Slowly creeping down the hill, the cub commented, "Now go save the herd! I'll get Gidget!" With that, he disappeared into the grassy meadow. Taking a deep breath and letting it out slowly, Tiberius murmured encouragingly to himself, "We've got this. We're going to be okay." The griffin raced in the direction that the deer herd had gone. Storm clouds were already beginning to roll across the night sky, prepared for what was about to come.
