Once I take Leah to Before & After care, (a school program that lets kids go there before and after school) I go back home and drive to school on my vespa. I refuse to put Leah on it because I'm still terrified that I'll crash. Her school is close enough to walk to within 20 minutes. However, even though my school is only 20 minutes away as well, I'd have to walk along the highway, and I'm not planning on getting run over anytime soon. Maybe two years ago, but not now.

I used to hate my life. I still kind of do. But I make sure to try my best for Leah. I also have Arlong. Arlong is my boyfriend. He's not the best person, but he takes my mind off of the shitty things and makes me feel...something. It's hard to explain the feeling. It's like time stands still, and my mind stops.

We haven't been together for long at all. Only a month so far. I don't expect this to last forever. I'm aware that relationships mostly end in heartbreak. But I believe that if you try hard enough, you can make it worth the heartbreak. Worth the pain.

Once I get to school, I spot my friends. "Hello Nami," Robin says, smiling and waving at me.

The others wave as well, still caught up in their previous conversations. Zoro and Robin were talking as Sanji walked up and called Zoro "marimo" or "idiot" or something insulting enough to start a fight. Robin just giggles and brushes it off. Franky is showing Chopper and Usopp one of his newest gadgets, or inventions, or whatever, while Usopp makes up a story about how he "used almost the exact same thing to save a small island" somehow. This is typical for our group. The only thing that isn't is Luffy. He's been acting more distant lately. I've asked him a few times, but whenever I do he looks at me like he's sorry for me, like I'm dying and he feels my pain. I don't understand. He walks up to me looking sad....no...he looks like he's...pitying me?

As we walked towards eachother he smiled sadly. Once we reached eachother he moved in close. I could feel his breath on my face. I was going to tell him to back up until he told me something that made me want to curl up into him and cry.
