On this day the 25th of April 2016 many Australians, New Zealanders and people over the world gather to honour and pay their respects to the ANZACs who lost their lives and their families who lost fathers, sons, husbands and significant men in their life on that fateful day at Gallipoli. Today is the 101st anniversary of that day and the 100th anniversary of the survivors return.  This is a day for reflection and means a lot to all Australians and New Zealanders.  ANZAC stands for the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps and we gather today wearing red poppies with pride to honour their sacrifice in World War 1.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning

We will remember them.

Lest we forget
