The Key
This afternoon, my friends and I found a mysterious key. What could it do? What could it open? Why does it look familiar? Does it mean something important? We'll find out soon...
Signed,
X

Sky, Fawn, and Kali all met up at a spot that they had declared their meeting place. It was dark out. The lights out call had rang and passed, everyone was supposed to be asleep.

"Okay. Now we look for what this key opens!" Kali whispered as she guided the other two around the school. Everytime they passed a lock, one of them would try to fit the key in to open it. However, all would fail.

It was 3AM by the time the three had reached their spot again. Still with no luck.

"Man..." Kali whined. "And I really wanted to see what this opened!"

"Let's look tomorrow. We have school in the morning and we need to rest." Sky suggested.

"Okay..." Kali mopped and began to slug her way back to her and Sky's dorm.

"Wait!" Fawn called. "Can I still look around? I won't be long. Please?"

Sky and Kali spoke amongst each other for a moment and then handed Fawn the key. "Don't be out too long!" They smiled at the girl with red hair.

Fawn smiled back as she took the key from Sky. "I won't!"

Fawn ran off in one direction as Sky and Kali headed back to their dorm in another direction.

...The next day...

Kali and Sky got up, got dressed and headed to their class. They found it a bit strange that X hadn't posted anything as she had posted every day of her life since she had started her blogging career.

Sky and Kali entered the classroom and took their seats. Moments later, the other students arrived, the bell rang, and the teacher began his lesson. It was normal, except Fawn was missing. She was not sitting at her desk. Sky and Kali began to worry about their friend. What could have happened to her? Where was she? They had to figure it out. The two then began to devise a plan.

When the bell rang for lunch time, Sky and Kali were the first ones up and out the door. They searched everywhere for their red haired friend. Where could she be?!? The thought rang through their minds as they frantically searched the entire school. Nothing. This was bad now. They began to think the worst.

"What if she was caught and taken to the place of no return???" Sky exclaimed anxiously as she placed her hands onto her head and looked around while pacing.

"We don't know that. She could be sick in her room. We haven't checked there yet." Kali tried to re-assure her friend.

"You're right!"

"Let's head there now!" Sky nodded and practically dragged Kali to Fawn's room.

Upon arrival, Sky pounded on the door.
"Fawn! Open up!" She called.

"Way to keep it cool..." Kali sighed.

The door opened, but who was behind the door was not Fawn. "Um... you've got the wrong room." The girl answered. "You want room 345 not 354."

Sky and Kali apologized to the girl and then raced to the correct room. But when they got there, the door was open and people were moving Fawn's stuff out of the room.

"Hey! What are you doing?" Sky called to the people.

The people didn't answer. They were like mindless drones who were programmed to do such.

"Hey! I'm talking to you!" Sky growled and jumped onto one of the people. The person didn't seem to mind having a kid on them and kept walking to their destination. Kali followed.

When they arrived, the girls were surpised to see that they were loading the stuff into a small grey space ship with a giant X on the side of it. Kali suddenly pulled Sky off of the person and they hid behind a giant loading crate.

"Sky!" Kali whispered. "That's X's ship!"

"But why are they loading Fawn's stuff into it?" Sky whispered back.

"You don't think......"

================
