Hey guys! Here's the other chapter and I really hope you enjoy it. Now on to the chapter!

Jake started to sweat with all the pressure.

His hand starting to ache from so much writing.

He glanced slightly to see his opponent noticing that he was almost done with the long equation.

Jake then focused even harder and wrote the numbers and fraction double his usual speed.

He then finished the equation and ended up with an answer that he was sure was correct.

Right after he finished Jake turned around and tapped on a bell signaling that he finished the equation.

When Jake tapped on the bell his opponent had to stop what he was doing and so he did.

One of the judges inspected Jake's work to see if it was correct.

Jake could feel sweat roll down his neck and face, becuase of the fact of him being  nervous.

He had a reason to be nervous because if Jake got one little detail wrong he would automatically lose.

And he could NOT let that happen!

He had to win this match!

The score was tied in the Academic Decathlon competition.

The score was 2-2 and Jake had to win this one to lead his team to victory.

This was the playoffs and that made the match double the importance.

After inspecting Jake's work the judge nodded his head signaling that Jake's work was correct.

Jake made a sighed of relief.

After being relieved he got excited. Jake smiled a wide smile and looked at the rest of his team.

They were cheering and hugging each other. When they noticed he was looking at them they gave him a thumbs up and a "Good Job!" Cheer.

He just laughed as a response of his team's actions.

Jake went over to his teammates and out of nowhere got picked up by them. . While he was on the air he could see his mom.

She was on the brick of tears.

Tears of joy of course!

When she locked eyes with him she started smiling at him and mouthed "I'm so proud of you"

Jake just smiled proudly.

After they celebrated some more, the Decathlon Team went out for yogurt.

They would always eat yogurt at the same yogurt place called Peach Wave when they ever won a match.

Jake and his team entered Peach Wave and ordered their usual yogurt and toppings.

After they received their yogurt Jake and his team went outside.

While outside Jake would discuss with his team different equations and how to solve them quicker.

Then he and his team started playing a game.

Jake would ask everyone a long equation and whoever answered first with the right answer got to ask the next question. And that would go on and on.

While answering a question Jake heard laughter and squeals.

He turned around to see the girls basketball team eating ice-cream in what seemed like an ice-cream shop called Cold Stone.

Jake saw the teams captain Jasmin get surrounding by her teammates and receive a handful of ice-cream on her face.

He observed the way her and her team interacted.

He always wondered how it felt to play any game that doesnt have to do with logic or Science.

Jake laughed at her reaction when her teammates put ice cream on her but then turned around to spent time with his team.

He would never belong in a sports team anyway,  what was the point in trying to make friends that are already on one if he already knows he will never belong in one?

Besides he was a little shy when it came to Jasmin.   Her outgoing personality would sometimes scare the poor boy.

After everyone finished their yogurt they went their separate ways waving goodbyes.

When Jake got home he was greeted by his father.

"Hey son, how did the Decathlon playoff go? Did you win?" Asked his dad.

"Well, what do you think dad?" Said Jake with a fake sad expression holding back a stiffle of laughter.

Jake would always love to play pranks on his dad and like jokes as well.  He never really had a time to be funny and relax but when he was with his dad that was his one chance on not being the weird need that sits in the back of the class alone.

"Oh it's OK son. You'll get it next time!" Said Jake's dad giving his son a nuggy.

"D-dad, I was just kidding we won" said Jake trying to breath and get out of his dad's nuggy.

"Oh, you got me there son!" Exclaimed his dad with a slight laugh.

Jake laughed slightly too after regaining air.

"Yeah, so anyway I'm going to bed. Need to be fully energized to learn more at school tomorrow" said Jake excited for going to school unlike any normal human being.

"Yes of course son. Good night son" said Jake's dad.

"Night dad" said Jake.

And with that Jake went to bed changing into his PJs.

While going to bed he was greeted by his cat Sunshine.

"Hey boy" said Jake.

Sunshine just gave a faint 'Meow' as a response while jumping on Jake's  bed and going on his stomach.

"I can't play that much I gotta go to sleep." Said Jake while putting Sunshine on the floor and closing his door when Sunshine got out the door.

"You poor thing. You don't get to go to school " said Jake feeling bad for his cat.

After that Jake went to sleep dreaming of him carrying the trophy after winning the Decathlon Championships.

And there's the second chapter! I hope you enjoyed it. I you have any questions or comments don't forget to comment.
