Roja and Arjun's wedding reception was planned in one of a kind way. In a beautiful yacht, with a delicious buffet in a black and silver theme, amidst the tranquil night waters and the brightly shining full moon.

Roja and Arjun were both decked up beautifully, in Arjun's perfect selection. Both their families were also ready in beautiful clothes. Specially Swetha, Priya, Deepa, Ashwin, Rajesh, Malar, & Kaushik were excited for the reception more than the older generation.

The photo session began right after the bride and the groom arrived, with the family clicking first, followed by Arjun's professional friends and co doctors, followed by Prathap & Ashwin's friends. Few of Roja's college friends also arrived.

Madhu (One of Roja's college mate) : Hey wow, super di! Finally unakku wedding, athuvum ivlo grand ah, avlo super ah nadakuthu🤩

The photo session took place for nearly 2 hours. Everyone came, wished both of them, and gave gifts. Some had even gone to taste the delicious feast. Just as Roja and Arjun thought that the photo session was done,
Swetha and Rajesh chimed in -

Both agreed after everyone pestered them

Right after dinner, the lights of the yacht were dimmed. Just some golden lights were switched on around Rojun

In the open deck of the yacht, surrounded by golden light and beautiful waters, both Roja & Arjun posed exactly like various Titanic stills. It was absolutely a sight to behold. ✨

(Could have done better with these pics I know 🙃but this is all I could manage)

Just as the photoshoot moments were done, and everything was about to wind up, with Rojun getting ready to go and have dinner, another guest made a late entry into the yacht. He carried a huge wrapped gift box in his hand.

It was none other than ASHOK!

He made his way straight to Rojun
Arjun was perplexed to see him.

Ashok : Congratulations my dear best friend Arjun! Congratulations Roja
He said with an evil smile handing over the gift box to them
Arjun looked at him with disdain
Ashok noticed this and smirked

Ashok : Achoo am sorry pa, evlo important day. Neenga evlo periya doctor. Unga wedding reception! Ithukku poi Naa ivlo late ah vanthutene. Am very sorry Doctor 🥺

Ashok said eyeing the huge gift box that he gave them.

Ashok : Wishing you a very "happy" married life my dear Arjun and Roja!

Roja : Ivanaaa..(mumbling angrily)
Arjun : Roja, calm down, Ippo guests ellam irukkanga. Prachanai panna Namma maanam than pogum.

Not wanting to seem rude in front of everyone..Arjun took the gift box from Ashok gritting his teeth.

Arjun : Nanban ah irunthalum sari, Ethiri ah irunthalum sari, dhrogi ah irunthalum sari, thedi vanthuta, sapadu podama anuparthu enga valakkam illa. Athunala saptutu po

Ashok gave an evil laugh. He ate some food and left soon after, however something didn't seem quite right to Arjun. He felt that something was wrong but tried hard to distract himself from those thoughts and focus on having an happy wedding.

🎉✨🎊 THE BIG DAY 🎊✨🎉

Yes, it was the big day, finally! The day two souls were going to become one. The sun rose early in the morning on this jubilant day ☀️

The atmosphere was divine. The priest had arrived early in the morning and had started chanting hymns
Kalpana and Lakshmi Aunty were scurrying around to help him with the things he needed. Prathap and Shanthamoorthy were standing at the entrance welcoming the guests.

Sometime later, Ashwin and Rajesh took their place as the priest needed them. Guests were pouring in, and each one was greeted with rose water and flower petals at the entrance.

Paati : Marumagale....
Kalpana : Athai..
Paati : Arjun Enna panran, veshti sattaiya avanuku kuduthu vittiya
Iyer first paiyana than koopduvaru
Kalpana : Tho athai, itho kuduthudren

Kalpana took the brand new silk veshti and silk shirt and scurried to give it to Arjun. She walked upto Arjun's room and opened the door.
She was pleasantly surprised to see that Arjun had already taken an head bath and was ready wearing a kurta

She handed over the things to Arjun and left.

On the other side, in the bride's room

Swetha & Priya were getting the bride ready. Roja looked absolutely gorgeous in her mint green pattu saree with bright orange borders 🤩🧡

They were putting makeup on her face.

Priya : Roja, appdiye devadhai mathri irukka🥰

Swetha : Irukkatha pinna, inniki ava vaazhkai laye mukkiyamana naal. Yarukume kedaikatha oru azhagana vaazhkai avaluku kedaika porthu

Priya : Correcta sonna Swetha, ithukaga ava evlovo paadu patruka. Athukana parisu than Ithu.
To Roja...
Naa innum makeup eh fulla podala, innum jewels vera podanum. Athukku munnadiye en friend ode mugam appdiye pragasathula glow aaguthu ☺️

Roja : Romba makeup podathinga. Simple ah podunga pothum

Swetha : Yean di. Inniki unakku kalyanam

Roja : Arjun sir ku simple ah iruntha than pudikum 😌

Priya & Swetha : Oooohhh...madam appdi varingala. Saringa madam😆

Both were teasing Roja, when Lakshmi aunty entered.

Priya : Kandippa ma

Swetha & Priya carefully got Roja ready. They put makeup on her already beautiful face, applied eyeliner, eyeshadow, placed a bindhi on her forehead and finally the maang tika (ornament worn over the forehead). It was simple yet perfect for her saree. Then they opened the jewellery box and found a lovely mint green stone set in it. It had everything right from chokkar, long haram, waist chain, a ring, beautiful stone bangles and earrings.

Roja was made to wear everything by her two friends, after which she looked at herself in the mirror. She herself felt that she looked gorgeous 😍
The makeup, jewels, hair, saree, everything was so pretty.

Just then Malar and Kaushik came running into Roja's room.

Kaushik : Roja aunty, Neenga Inniki la irunthu enga veetla than iruppinga la Arjun mama kooda

Roja : Ama da en chellakutty. 😘

Malar : Aii jolly jolly 🥳 Enga kooda vilayada engaluku oruthar kedaika poranga 🤩

Just then Yashoda entered, looking out for Malar & Kaushik

Yashoda : Roja, ready aayitiya ma. Konja neram poru, iyer paadha poojai appo koopduvaru. Saree superb roja

Roja : Thanks erm...Yashoda chitthi...
Naa ungala appdi koopadalama

Yashoda : Ithu Enna kelvi Roja. Dharalama koopdu. Nee enga kudumbathula oruthi aaga pora. Roja, Enakku advice panra urimai ellam irukka nu theriyala. Irunthalum solren

Arjun ah pathi Naa solli unakku theriyanum nu illa. Neenga rendu perum love marriage. Avan Romba nalla paiyan. Ellar melayum alavukkadantha anbu veppan. Konjama anbu kuduthale pothum, pala madanga thirupi kudupan. Yenna avanode chinna vayasula anbu kaga avlo yengirkan. Nee avanukku life partner ah kedachirka. Roja : Kandippa chithi. Neenga ellarum en mela vechirkara nambikkai ah Naa kandippa kaapathuven. Arjun sir ku oru nalla manaiviya, unga kudumbathuku oru nalla marumagal ah eppovume iruppen. Intha Kudumbatha Naa ennikume vittu kuduka matten. ❤️

Yashoda hugged Roja and left with Malar & Kaushik.

In the groom's room,

Arjun had worn his traditional outfit. He was setting his hairs in front of the mirror when his eyes fell on the jewels Kalpana had given him and asked him to wear.

However, as simple as he was, he chose not to wear any of the jewels except the chain. He took the thin gold chain in his hands. It had a sun shaped pendant. He held that chain close to his heart. A small teardrop escaped his eye. The chain was emotionally connected and was extremely special to him.

Yes, it was the only memory he had of his late mother. She had put it for him, on his first birthday, inspite of the tough financial situation at that time. She had saved money little by little over the years and had lovingly purchased the chain for her first baby. His father had entrusted him with the chain while he died explaining the significance of the sun shaped pendant. Apparently, Arjun's mother Padmini wanted her son to shine like the bright sun in all walks of life. Hence she had purchased it, as soon as she gave birth to Arjun and realised that it was a boy.

As he wore the chain, Arjun remembered his mother, whose face he vaguely remembered. He had seen her properly only in the photograph but she always lived in his memories. He touched the pendant to his chest and prayed to his mother -

"Amma, Neenga illa ennode Life la nu Enakku koraiye theriyama paasam katina ennode Kalpana amma kitta Naa asirvaatham vaangiten. Inniki ennode Life la oru new chapter start aaga porthu, atha Neenga enga iruntho paathutu irukkinga nu Enakku theriyum. Neengalum enna asirvaatham pannunga ma. Enna nambi vara pora Roja va Naa entha koraiyum illama paathukanum..."

Having prayed thus, he put his chain inside his shirt. Just then Deepa entered.

Deepa : Anna!
Arjun : Hey Deepa! Vaa da
Deepa : Wow , super ah ready aayitinga anna.
Vaanga Anna, keela polam. Iyer ungala kootitu vara sonnaru.

🔥 O U R R A V I S H I N G   G R O O M 🔥

Arjun and Deepa walked hand in hand to the stage. The stage was yet another stunning set up as always.

The priest was chanting hymns. Arjun climbed up the stage, bowed to all elders and then sat down.
The priest asked him to chant some hymns too and pour some holy waters into the nuptial fire. Arjun did as he was asked to do.

Priest : Paiyan avanode appa amma ku paadha poojai pannanum

Both kalpana and Prathap stepped forward and placed their one leg each in a tray. Arjun bowed down, touched their feet and sought their blessings whole heartedly. Then, as per the ritual, he washed their feet and applied kumkumam and sandal paste.

Prathap : Nee unnode nalla manasu polave oh oh nu vaazhuva Arjun! Wishing you all success and happiness in this new phase of life.

Arjun : Thanks appa!

Kalpana too blessed her son.

After sometime, the bride was called too. Priya and Swetha, being the bridesmaids, carefully led Roja to the stage.
As Arjun caught a glance of Roja in that pattu saree and jewels walking calmly like an angel to the stage, with her anklets making a pleasing sound, he was rendered speechless.

As he was gazing at her in awe, Roja came beside him, bowed to everyone and sat down next to him, smiling brightly at Arjun. Her face had that perfect charm of a new bride 🤩

Later, Roja also did the paadha poojai ritual in which she washed Shanthamoorthy's feet and sought his blessings.

The auspicious time to tie the knot was nearing. As minutes ticked by, both Roja and Arjun were caught in the grip of extreme happiness, as well as nervousness

Arjun (whispering): Innum few mins than Rose. Athukku appram Namma 2 udal oru manasu ❤️

Roja (whispering back) : Ippo mattom ennavam sir. Namma rendu perum manasu alavula onnu aagi Romba naal aachu sir. Anniki Neenga hospital la unga past life ah sonnathu ku apprame Namma yenanjitome😌

The priest asked Yashoda to distribute flowers to everyone, for blessing the newly married couple. As Yashoda went to do that, the priest did the Pooja of the nuptial chain for one last time. It was a beautiful piece of handwork, in pure gold.

As soon as Yashoda returned, the priest announced -

"Thaali katrapo ponnu appa madila than okaranum. Thaali la oru mudichu purushan Um, matha 2 mudichu paiyan ode akka illaina thangai than podanum"

As per the instructions, SM seated himself on a comfortable chair. Roja sat on his lap, her eyes brimming with tears of joy.

All the relatives stood up to bless the couple. Arjun and Roja's families completely rounded up the chair in which SM and Roja were sitting

The priest took the nuptial chain (thaali) and handed it over to Arjun.
There was the sweet sound of instruments being played in the background ❤️

Arjun lifted up the nuptial chain to his face. As he saw it, a thousand memories flashed before his eyes, right from his childhood, to his first love, to lashing out at Roja for coming late, to offering her the job without an interview, to becoming her close friend, to rejecting her first love proposal.
Then the scenes of Roja risking her life to save him at Dr. Elangovan's function, Arjun performing an extremely complicated surgery on her, Roja's words holding his fingers in the coma state, to their proclamation of love for each other flashed before his eyes and rang in his ears. All those seemed to have a new meaning now❤️

Closing his eyes for a couple of secs and praying for the well being of both the families and a happy life for both of them ahead, Arjun bent down, and tied the first knot on Roja's neck, the knot to be held on for eternity, the knot of an unbreakable bond of friendship and companionship, the knot of unshakable faith, the knot of pure love & affection, the knot which marked the beginning of their forever ✨

Tears of Joy sprang out of Roja's eyes!
It was the moment she had waited for in months. Finally the man, who seemed to be true only in her dreams, was now all hers, and only hers. She grabbed the moment and locked it safely in her heart, wiping her tears of joy

Deepa tied the other two knots and finished the thaali tying ceremony.

The entire marriage hall stood up and blessed the couple. Flowers rained over Roja & Arjun - now finally and officially Rojun! 💖✨

Arjun then took the vermilion and placed it on Roja's hair partition and on her thaali chain, as per Tamil tradition. ✨

After that, Rojun got up, and locked their little fingers. Holding their little fingers, and promising to be there by each other's side through the thick and thin and the most delicate situations, Rojun took the seven rounds around the holy fire, in a circle. As they walked around, they took the 7 holy vows too.

Author's bit : The circle means 360 deg
The only number between 1 & 9 that does not divide 360 is 7 & hence ROJUN also took 7 rounds around the fire, signifying that their bond is indivisible and unbreakable too. 😌

Arjun also made Roja wear the toe ring (metti), finally completing all marriage rituals 💯

Rojun then went to all the elders one by one, and fell at their feet. Each one blessed them abundant joy, peace, good health and an happy married life. 🥰

Just then Ashwin heard Arjun's phone, which was in his hand, ring.

Ashwin : Anna ode phone adikithu...poi Avar kitta kudupom

To Arjun

Ashwin : Anna, Inthanga unga phone ring pannite irukku Romba nerama.

Arjun : Ok Ashwin, Naa attend panren.

Roja : Sir..?

Arjun : Onnum illa oru call varuthu. I'll attend

Arjun attended the phone call which was actually ringing since a long time

Arjun : Hello...

A couple of mins later, everyone was shocked to see tears rolling down Arjun's eyes - incessantly.

As everyone panicked, Arjun dropped his phone and fainted then and there itself.

"ARJUN SIR..."
"MAPPILAI..."
"ARJUN ANNA..."
"ARJUN...!"

Everyone was horrified by the sudden turn of happenings.
