British Empire's POV

Late on Christmas Eve 1914, I heard Germany in the trenches singing carols and patriotic songs and saw lanterns and small fire trees along their trenches.

"Silent night, holy night

All is calm, and all is bright

Round yon Virgin Mother and Child

Holy infant so tender and mild

Sleep in heavenly peace

Sleep in heavenly peace" Germany said

It was very nice to see and hear. He then said, "Are you the Rifle Brigade" "Yes" I answered. "Have you a spare bottle?" "Yes" "If so we will come halfway and you come the other half."  Soldiers from both sides put down their weapons and stepped out of their trenches and the enemy really did meet the enemy between the trenches. For a short time, there was finally peace.

No one's POV

The following day, the Entente and Central Powers soldiers met in no man's land and exchanged gifts, took photographs, and played games of football.

"I never thought that we would have a truce this Christmas due to the war. This is the best!" Alsace–Lorraine said.

"I know!" Paris said

"We are very lucky to spend Christmas and have a truce. These things are very rare."  France said

"I'm glad that at least we could at least have a little rest," UK said

"Who wants to play Football?" London said. Everyone said yes. "So much for having a little rest..." UK replied.
