Next morning

As a new day arises, Naina prays for a better day. She warmed the last night's food and prepared coffee for Rajveer and herself. She stepped out of the kitchen, Anamika was sitting on the dining table, going through her book while Ananth was scrolling his phone and as usual Rajveer was just staring at them in between while reading the newspaper.

Naina places the coffee mug before him and gives milk to Anamika and Ananth. She snatched the phone from Ananth's hand and glared at him.

''Mom!! What is this behavior? Aap log jab dekho mere piche kyun pass jaate ho yaar?" Ananth shouted.

''Agar tum kuch dhang ka karoge toh koi kuch nahi kahega tumhe par tum maano tab na. Subha se phone pakad ke baitho ho, atleast school jaane ke time toh kuch padh ke jao. Ek toh tumhare grades Congress ke votes ki tarah teeji se girte jaa rahe hai aur tumhe uski parwah hi nahi hai. Ek baat yaad rakhna Ananth agar jo tum fail hue toh main Instagram pe tumhara report card upload kar dungi aur wo bhi tumhe tag karke, fir main dekhti hoon kaun tumhari waah waahi karta hai!!" She threatened him, shocking him to the core.

Anamika giggles, Ananth glared at her. He snatched her book and threw it on the floor as he finds it is the root cause of all the problem.

''Ananth!!" Anamika shouted and slapped him which he returned the next instant.

''Ananth!!" Rajveer and Naina shouts in unison, they were shocked by his action. How can he raise hand on his elder sister?

''What Ananth?? Ye loser book leke baith jaati hai toh dono ne isko sar chadha rakha hai, kyun? Kaunsa teer maar liya isne subha sham kitab pe baith ke? Main toh fir bhi earn kar raha hoon na par aap logon ko uski kadar nahi, bas iski chamcha giri karte ho kyunki ye book leke jab dekho baith jaati hai. Aur agar jo aap dono ko mujh se itni problem hai toh mujhe jaane hi doh na, at least i'll be at peace jo yahan mil nahi raha mujhe!!" Ananth shouted at his parents.

Anamika ran out of the house taking her book and car keys. After last night's interaction with Rajveer, she decided she would not get into any banter with Ananth but it seems the task is impossible, they won't be able to make it. Rajveer stares at her,until she disappears from his sight.

He sharply turns to Ananth,
''Humei tumhare paise nahi chahiye, we already have enough of it. Tum bas apne padhai pe dhyan do aur kuch nahi. We are not saying ki jo kar rahe ho wo band kar do par apne padhai pe bhi dhyan do jo bahut jaruri hai. Atleast get a degree before running for fame.'' Rajveer states, his tone is harsh and rough.

''Mujhe nahi chahiye degree!! Kyun mere piche pade ho dono? Mera mann nahi lagta padhai mei, mujhe nahi karni hai yaar kyun nahi samajhte ho? Get a life, aapne kaam se kaam kyun nahi rakhte ho dono? Please, meri life mei interfere karna band karo aur jeene doh mujhe!!" Ananth stated,furiously. He finds his parents interfering in his life and it's hard to tolerate them now.

Rajveer and Naina exchange glances, and in the next moment Naina holds Ananth's hand and drags him to his room. Surprised by what's going on, Rajveer follows them.

Naina pushes him inside the room.

''Chalo, I give you freedom and from now on we won't interfere in your matters. Aur aaj se tum issi room mei rahoge, without books and phone. Tumhara khana tumhe time pe de diya jaayega and you can do whatever you want to, humei koi fark nahi padta hai!!" She shouted and slammed the door.

Ananth was shocked, he banged the door from inside which was of no use. Neither a reply came nor did they open the door.

Rajveer was equally shocked.

''What is this Naina? Aise toh usko aur lagega hum uske khilaf hai.'' He says, concerning the matter.

''Toh aur kya kare? Tumne dekha nahi kya kiya usne? Aaj tak verbal ladai thi aaj usne apni badi behen pe haath utha diya kalki hum pe bhi utha sakta hai, uska koi bharosa nahi raha. Jab pehli sunti thi na ki log apne bache ko dur hostel mei daal dete hai ya unko choti umar mei ghar se nikal diya toh bura lagta tha. Par nahi, aab samajh aaya. Agar bache inn jaise hote honge toh parents ke pass dusra option bhi kya reh jata hai?'' Naina shouted losing her control, she headed down the hall followed by Rajveer.

''Asal main na it's all your fault!! Agar tumhe bache chahiye hi na hote toh ye pareshani hi na hoti hamari life mei par tum toh ghode pe sawar the aur tumhari family bhi. Uspe bhi ek bache se jee na bhara tumhara toh iss duje namune ki aas mei laag gaye, aab bhugto aur tumhare saath main bhi bhugat rahi hoon kyunki tumhari baat maani meine.'' She yelled at him.

''Arey!! Hum dono ne decide kiya tha, I didn't force you toh ilzaam na lagao mujh pe. Aur mujhe kya pata tha ye sab ho jaayega, ye log aise nikalenge. Actual mei na inki galti nahi,tum khud itni jhahralu thi toh ye bhi honge hi!!" Rajveer exclaims and gulps down, finding her glare at him.

''Okay, sorry!! Lekin hamare ladne se kuch thik toh nahi ho jaayega na? Na hi isko room mei band karke kuch thik hoga. I believe dono ko saath baitha ke koi rasta nikala jaaye aur jo na maane toh dono ko hi kissi alag hostel mei hi rakh de, kyunki iske siwa dusra koi option hai bhi nahi hamare pass!!" Rajveer stated in a calm and concerned tone that they don't have any other option.

Naina let out a deep sigh, she takes her seat on the dining table and served herself with the breakfast. The least she can do to calm herself at the moment.
