It had been awhile since real happiness had been around. It had been awhile since Quinn saw what happiness looked like, and could remember what it felt like-- even experience it. But that's all there really was at the wedding. That was all that Quinn could see-- happiness and love between two people that she had cared about for years.

"Finnick!" Quinn called out over the music that she wasn't all that familiar with. It wasn't like what they had in Four, it was from Twelve. "Finnick!"

By the second time she called out to him, Finnick turned away from whoever it was. He gave Quinn a smile and a small wave before turned and quickly ending the conversation with the man. His eyes thren glazed over the people around him before his eyes landed on Annie-- who was talking with Hannah from Eight. As soon as Quinn got to him, she pulled him into a hug.

"Congratulations, Finnick." she sighed as she let go of him.

He grinned, "It just doesn't seem real," he stated. "Not that long ago I thought I'd never see her again."

Quinn smiled, "But you did, so you don't need to worry about that." she replied.

Slowly, Finnick's smile faded. "How have you been?" he asked, "Have you been okay? Since you were discharged, they've kept you pretty busy."

Quinn quickly moved her eyes away from his, avoiding eyecontact as she quickly began to sort through her thoughts. She'd been alright...hadn't she? Even though she had been put onto the last squad she would have wanted to be on...she had been alright.

"I've been better, I guess." she said simply, "But I think everyone has been."

Finnick didn't look all that convinced, he studied her carefully for a moment. "You know, everyone can see it, Quinn. You haven't been all that great since we got to Thirteen after the Quell-"

"Finnick," Quinn said quickly, "It's your wedding we don't need to talk about this now." she sighed.

He rolled his eyes a bit, "You didn't let me finish." he stated, "You can talk to me about whatever it is," he said as he put an arm around her shoulder. "That's what mentor's are for."

Quinn scoffed, "Then in that case, you can talk to me too. Because technically," she paused, pointing a finger up at him dramatically as they walked towards Annie. "I was your mentor for the Quell before the Favourite Reaping."

"I guess we're even then." he retorted as he unwrapped his arm from around Quinn's shoulders and put one around Annie.

Quinn stood around with the two of them only for a short while before they got taken away to join the rest of the guests dancing along with the music. It left Quinn to simply stand around, observing as people bounced along with the music. She scanned the crowd of people, her eyes landed on Katniss and Prim dancing together-- a genuine smile on Katniss' face. A real smile on her face was almost as rare as the one that had showed up on Quinn's face a few times during the wedding.

"You look like you're enjoying yourself..."

Quinn looked up to see Gale, "I am actually." she replied, "It's a lot more enjoyable than those Capitol parties." she confessed.

"When I was a kid I thought those would be pretty fun." Gale admitted.

"What changed your mind?"

He sighed, "A friend of my dads went hunting with me after the mine explosion," he started, "He got caught selling things from outside the fence, and he got shot. Just right then and there, in front of everyone in the Hob. I didn't and still don't understand why people in the Districts are treated so horribly even though they have to send two kids off for the Capitols own sick enjoyment every year."

"You kept hunting though?" she asked, "Why didn't they turn the fences on?"

"Waste of energy probably." he replied, "Like you should talk-" he smirked, "Why didn't they turn off all the fences after you got out of Four?"

"Too stupid I guess." Quinn replied.

They both snickered a bit before they let the conversation die between them and then the music and chatter among everyone around them.

"So you really think Snow is...trustworthy?" Gale asked after a long moment.

Quinn thought for a moment and then nodded. "If he really was a traitor-- " Quinn kept her voice quiet enough that Gale was the only one who could really hear her. "He would have killed me before we got to Thirteen in the first place."

Gale thought about what she said for a moment, and then finally nodded in agreement. But he didn't look completely convinced.
