Roni's POV:

Once we've collected the boys, the new guy, Thor, included, we head straight back to the helicarrier. When we get there Loki is escorted to his cell and we watch Fury interrogate him. There are a few jabs in there. This guy is crazy and arrogant.

After that Tony goes off the do something while Nat, Cap, Thor, Bruce, and I sit at the conference table on the bridge. "Ok, Loki is going to drag this out, Thor, what's his play?" Cap asks. We all turn toward the Asgardian.

"He has an army called the Chitari. There are not of Asgard or any world known. He means to lead then against your people, they shall win him the earth. In return, I suspect, for the Tesseract." Thor says. "An army? From outer space." Cap says.

"So he's building another portal, that's what he needs Erik Selvig for." Bruce says. "Selvig?" Thor asks. "He's an astrophysicist." I explain. "He's a friend." Thor states. "Loki's got him under some mind control, along with one of our own." Nat says, looking down. I sigh. I miss Clint too.

"I wonder why Loki let us take him. He's not leading an army from here." Cap says. "I don't think we should be focusing on Loki. That guy's brain is a bag full of cats, you can smell crazy on him." Bruce says.

"Have care how you speak. Loki is beyond reason, but he is of Asgard and he is my brother." Thor says. "He killed 80 people in two days." I say. "He's adopted." Thor corrects. "I think it's about the mechanics. Iridium. What does he need the Iridium for?" Bruce asks.

"It's a stabilizing agent." Tony says, walking into the room. He mutters something to Coulson before walking up to the table. "It means the portal won't collapse on itself like it did at S.H.I.E.L.D.. No hard feelings Point Break. You've got a mean swing." Tony tells Thor.

"Also, it means the portal can open as wide and stay open as long as Loki wants." He says before rattling off ship speak. At this everyone just stares at him blankly. "How does Fury even see these?" He asks, meaning the two screens on either side. "He turns." Maria says.

"Sounds exhausting. The rest of the raw materials Agent Barton can get his hands on pretty easily. The only major component he still needs is a power source of high energy density. Something to kick start the cube." Tony says.

"When did you become specialized in thermonuclear astrophysics?" I ask. "Last night. The packet, Selvig's notes, the extraction theory papers? Am I the only one who did the reading?" Tony asks. "Does Loki need any particular kind of power source?" Cap asks.

"He'd have to heat the cube to 120 million kelvin just to breath through the Coulomb barrier." I say. "Unless Selvig has found a way to stabilize the quantum tumbling effect." Tony says. "Well if he could do that he could achieve heavy ion fusion at any reactor on the planet." Bruce says.

"Finally, people who speak English." He says, gesturing to Bruce and I. "Is that what just happened?" Cap asks. I smile and little bit at the Captain's confusion. Poor guy is so lost. Tony goes over and shakes Bruce's hand.

"It's good to meet you Dr. Banner. Your work on antielectron collision is unparalleled. Also, I'm a huge fan of the way you lose control and turn into an enormous green rage monster." Tony says. "Thanks." Bruce says.

"Dr. Banner is only here to track the cube. I was hoping you and Agent Stark might join him." Fury says, walking in. "Start with that stick of his. It may be magical, but it works an awful lot like a HYDRA weapon." Caps says.

"I don't know about that, but it is powered by the cube. And I like to know how Loki used it to turn two of the sharpest men I know into her own personal flying monkeys." Fury says. "Monkey? I don't under-" "I do! I understood that reference." Cap says, happily.

I smile at him while Tony rolls his eyes. "Shall we play doctors?" Tony asks. "This way sir." Bruce says, leading Tony to my lab. I follow and as I walk past Cap I whisper, "Don't worry Cap, you'll catch everything eventually." I say. With that I walk behind my brother and Bruce to my lab.

When we get into my lab we start right away with figuring out how the staff works. I'm in one part of the lab, checking and rechecking notes to see if I can see anything. I hear the boys talking in the background, but I zone them out. I don't want to be here. I'd rather be training with Nat.

Suddenly I hear Banner exclaim, "Ow!" I turn to see Tony with a shock stick. Did he really just poke Bruce with that? "HEY! Are you nuts?" I head Cap call. "Jury's out. You really do have a lid on it don't you. What's your secret? Mellow jazz, bongo drums, huge bag of weed?" Tony asks.

"Is everything a joke to you?" I ask Tony, crossing my arms. "Funny things are." He says. "Endangering everyone on this ship isn't funny. No offense doc." Cap says. "No, it's fine. I wouldn't have come if I couldn't handle pointy things." Bruce says.

"You're tiptoeing big man, you need to strut." Tony says. "And you need to focus on the problem Tony." I snap. "Do you think I'm not? Why did Fury call us in and why now? Why not before? What isn't he telling us? I can't do the problem without all the variables." He says.

"The whole Tesseract thing was hush hush. Only a select few agents were assigned to it." I say. "You think Fury is hiding something?" Cap asks. "He's a spy Captain, he's the spy, his secrets have secrets. It's bugging him too." Tony says, pointing to Bruce.

"Um, I just want to finish my work here and-" "Doctor?" Cap asks. "'A warm light for all mankind' Loki's jab at Fury about the cube." Bruce says. "Yeah I heard it." Cap says. "Well, I think that was meant for you." Bruce says, pointing to Tony. Tony offers him some blueberries which he takes.

"Even if Barton didn't tell Loki about the tower, it's all over the news." Bruce says. "The Stark Tower? That big ugly..." Tony gives him a look, "...building in New York?" Cap asks. I hold back a laugh at this.

"It's powered by an arc reactor. A self sustaining energy source. That building will run itself for, what, a year?" Bruce asks. "It's just the prototype. I'm kind of the only name in clean energy right now. That's what he's getting at." Tony says.

"So why didn't S.H.I.E.L.D. bring him or at least Agent Stark in on the Tesseract project? What are they doing in the energy business in the first place." He asks. My eyes widen. Why didn't they bring me in? I know just as much or even more than Selvig.

"I should probably look into that once my description program finishes breaking into all of S.H.I.E.L.D. secure files." Tony says. My eyes widen. He can't just go through those files. "What did you just-" But he cuts me off.

"JARVIS has been running it since I hit the bridge. In a few hours I'll know every dirty secret S.H.I.E.L.D. has ever tried to hide. Blueberry?" Tony asks. "And you wonder why they don't want you around." Caps says.

"And intelligence organization that fears intelligence? Historically, not awesome." Tony says. "I think Loki is just trying to wind us up. This is a man that means to start a war and if we don't stay focused then he'll succeed. We have orders. We should follow them." Cap says.

"Yeah, following's never really been my style." Tony says. "And you're all about style aren't you?" Caps asks, getting into Tony's face. "Of the people in this room who is a) wearing a spangly outfit and b) not of use?" Tony asks. "Steve, tell me none of this smells a little funky to you." I say.

"Just find the cube." With that Cap walks out. "I'll be right back." I say, following him.  "Captain." I call, racing to catch up with his long strides. "Call me Steve. And what?" He asks, agitated. "Look, I know you think something is up. I think I know where we need to look." I say.

He stops walking. "Agents are supposed to tell other agents about their missions, but Clint would call me daily and sometimes he would let somethings slip." I say, he looks intrigued now at what I have to say.

"I may not be in the main loop but I always like to be in on things and since this is my design I know how to get into every room, including the Phase 2 room. I don't know what's in it though." I say. "Do you want to find you?" Steve asks me. "I think we need to know what's in that room."

He nods and we take off, me leading him in the direction of the one room my level off access won't let me in. What are you hiding Fury?
