Early morning sunlight had begun to stream across the train station.

A few emperors were coming a day early for the trial. The train sped around the corner at 7 'o' clock sharp. When the doors opened, three people stepped out. Pearl came out first with a grim look I rarely saw on her. Next came Sausage also absent of his cocky smirk. Then Jimmy came out, anxiety present in every line of his face.

"Phoenix?" Pearl asked.

"Alive." I answered.

"Scott?" Sausage asked.

I shook my head. "We lost all the trust we had built up with him after Phoenix fell off the roof. Even Katherine's."

"Can we see them?" Jimmy asked, running a hand through his air.

"Of course." I said, jerking my head down the street. "Follow me." We walked silently down Escape Avenue, although we might have to change the name considering Phoenix managed to escape the walls of the prison.

Fwhip was having a whispered conversation with one of the guards, but he let us in as we passed after saying hello to Pearl, Sausage and Jimmy.

Once we entered the prison, we started going down. As far down as we could in fact. No one said a word, but I could tell Jimmy was nervous. Finally, we came to the end of a hallway.

"We had to relocate both of them so we wouldn't have another break out..." I said. "They're separated now."

"Scott tried to break out?" Pearl asked with a raised eyebrow.

"No, but he struggled. A lot." I said and pressed a button, opening the metal doors. Behind it was a sheet of thick bullet proof glass, stronger than the ones protecting the arrow slits. It was a white room with a singular chair in the center chained to the floor. Phoenix was sitting in it with her head bowed. She was wearing a straitjacket and her ankles were cuffed tightly to the floor and chair legs.

She had a muzzle like contraption around her face, but she didn't look up.

"She fractured her skull in the fall." I explained, while the three of them stared in shock at her. "We gave her staples and fixed her up as best we could."

She slowly looked up, her hair falling in greasy strands in front of her face. Her red, psychopathic, and bloodshot eyes seemed to penetrate the glass from the gaze of fury she gave us.

They actually all took a step back from the glass barrier, although Phoenix had no way of moving at all, it seemed like she was about to jump at us. I pressed the button again and the metal closed over the glass again.

"Is- is Scott like that?" Jimmy asked.

"No. We can go see him if you want...he just woke up from the serum though...he may be a bit...aggressive." I said.

"I want to see him." Sausage said.

"Alright then." I sighed. I turned on my heel and began to walk back up the hall and up the stairs. We stopped on the level right underneath the ground floor in front of a metal door. I pulled a key off a chain on my neck, one of three. "Ready?" I asked.

They all nodded, and I unlocked the door. It swung open slowly, and I felt a wave of fatigue. The grooves of some of the bricks were filled with blackstone, and I saw Pearl and Sausage become tired as well as they entered. Scott was directly across from the door.

His neck was restrained to the wall with a metal clamp, tilting his jaw upwards and forcing the side of his face to the wall. His arms were cuffed to the wall on either side of his head, and he was in a forced sitting position, his legs chained to the floor. His face contorted in rage as soon as he saw us, but he didn't say a word.

I heard Jimmy suck air quickly through his teeth when we entered, almost like he was suppressing a gasp. I walked across the room and kneeled in front of Scott before unlatching the neck clamp from the wall. His chest instantly fell forward and he began gasping for air.

Then he looked up at me with a glare. "Where's Erin?" he asked, his voice shaking in fury.

"Alive and awake." I answered shortly. I turned to look at Sausage, Pearl and Jimmy and saw the stunned expressions on their faces. Scott saw them too, and his jaw clenched.

"Come to gloat?"

None of them answered. I crouched back down in front of him, taking one of his antlers and using it to press his head back against the wall before putting the clamp back on. I felt him trying to move out of my grip, but he was already chained back up. Then I quickly strode back across the room and out the metal door, followed by the other three, and locking it behind me. It was hard for me to see him like that, and Jimmy and Pearl obviously agreed...Sausage on the other hand...

"It's the only way to keep him here until the trial." I told Jimmy and Pearl.

"Make him think about what he's done." Sausage said, crossing his arms.

"Saus-" Pearl started.

"No Pearl. You forget he froze over our docks. We're still unthawing them. People are dying of starvation in our capital thanks to him!" Sausage snapped. "He deserves everything that's coming to him! Along with his bratty sister!"

Jimmy's face fell and he bit his lower lip.

"Why don't we just go back to the mansion." I said quickly before a fight broke out. "Come on." I sped walked out of the prison followed by the others. I really hated it in here.

By the time we got out, Fwhip was waiting outside the gate with two cars. He, Pearl, and Sausage all got into the first one. I beckoned Jimmy into the second and we both sat in the back. He had a look of distrust on his face.

"Are you sure this is safe...?" he asked.

"Positive." I answered, showing him how to put the seatbelt on. As soon as we started to drive back to the Tay mansion, Jimmy turned away from me and looked out the window. I pressed a button between the front two seats, and a barrier separated us from the two guards in the front, one of whom was driving. "How are you doing?" I finally asked him.

He glanced over at me. "I'm fine I guess." Then his face fell. "But how- how could he?"

"I don't know." I sighed.

"I miss him. The old him." Jimmy said quietly, and I nodded.

"I think we all do."
