Jeremy pov

It was once again time for Mike to leave for his shift at work, leaving me alone in the apartment. It's not that I didn't like being alone, it's just sometimes, things get boring.

I am confined to the bathtub after all, there's only so much I can do. The space was small and was the only place I could actually be. I just wish there was something I could do while Mike wasn't home.

I sighed and glanced around the room, not seeing anything in particular that interested me. There just wasn't much in this room to begin with.

I looked at my tail and noticed it was slowly starting to heal, which was good. The rips were already healed, so now it would just be the bone I had to wait on. And since I was normally a fast healer, I figured it wouldn't take too long to fix itself.

It's good that I'm healing, but... The sooner I heal, the sooner I have to go home, unless Mike figures out a way for me to stay. I hope he does, because I don't want to have to go back to my father. I want to stay here with Mike, on land.

The more I thought about it, the more I realized I was missing him, a lot. It was lonely here all by myself, and I didn't really enjoy it. I wanted him to come home now.

I looked at the clock and saw it was nowhere near the time he came home. I sighed and leaned back, just staring at the ceiling for a bit, since there was really nothing better to do with my time.

I wasn't sure how much time was passing at the moment, but I thought it had probably been a long time. While in reality, it had really only been about twenty minutes. The wait was painfully boring.

I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair. I wished there was something to do while I waited, but there really wasn't, so I just sat there in the water.

I heard the 'click' sound of the front door unlocking. I looked at the time and saw it was far too early for Mike to be home.

I quietly pulled the curtain closed and sank down in the water. The last thing I wanted was to draw attention to myself.

I froze when I heard the bathroom door open and footsteps enter. I had no idea who might be here, and I didn't particularly want to find out. I held my breath as they got closer, seeing their silhouette through the curtain.

My heart beat out of my chest and deeply in my ears as they reached for the edge of the curtain. There was no way I could possibly escape right now. I was truly doomed from this point on. No matter what I did, I wasn't going to be able to stop this person, and I knew it.

The figure who was dressed in black, yanked the curtain open and shoved a rag over my face. I struggled and thrashed around, but there was nothing I could do.

My vision was fading to darkness and I started to move slower, becoming very fatigued. I heard a sickening chuckle before finally fading into unconsciousness.
