"Sonic, wake your lazy bum up!!!"

I jolted awake. A young kitsune looked over me with concern. A female pink hedgehog sat in a chair, rubbing my hand softly.

"Amy? Tails? Is that really you this time?"

"Look around! Do you think this is me?" Amy gestured at her giant collection of plush toys, posters, action figures. Then I see Tails' bright blue eyes, his twin tails spinning happily.

I'm alive, but how?

"Where was I?"

"You were at the castle. Tikal explained everything. She thought that maybe you should stay here until the spirits calm down. The aggressive one, she said, was seriously messing with your brain. You just couldn't handle it." Tails answered.

"Not in nerd terms, you fainted. We took you home." Amy smiled.

"Well, I'm glad to be back." I yawned a little. So it wasn't a dream. But if it was, then how did I die? Or did I die? How did Tails and Amy find me? Where is Tikal right now? But most importantly...

Where is that mysterious demon spirit?

"Tails owes me a TV, by the way."

"I told you, it was the, um, thing!!"

"Yeah sure, like a demon came out of nowhere and possessed my TV, yeah sure."

"Alright, I'll buy the new TV. For you, Amy." I smiled and got out of bed and put on my shoes.

"Yay! Thank you so much!" Amy hugged me. Tails sighed in relief.

We all walked out of Amy's house and headed to Station Square. I couldn't help but notice, when I turned around, I saw him. He looked just like me, except darker blue, eyes pure black and pupils glowing red.

"You were lucky this time, hedgehog..." I heard him say.
