Luna sighs softly as she looks out the window of their father’s truck. They were driving to the new house they were moving into after the passing of their mother, well new to them anyway as it belonged to their grandparents from mom’s side of the family. They hadn't been around them much but they seemed a little strange from what she remembered of them. Outside it was cold thanks to the winter season and the cold left a thin layer of frost on the windows, partly blocking the view outside. Watching the lands they once knew pass by them into uncharted territory of a small town with an abundance of trees.

Sunny, her older brother, was sitting in front with their father and he had turned on music so the drive wasn’t completely silent. Luna didn’t pay much attention to the music as she was off in her own mind as she gazed out the window. It took about two days to drive to the new place and she didn’t talk much during it but that’s kinda how she is usually, so Sunny didn’t think much of it. They all get out of the truck and start to unload their stuff, bringing it inside. The house was in pretty good shape considering its age. There are two floors and a basement, the first floor had the kitchen, the living room, two bedrooms, and two bathrooms. The second floor was basically an attic just without the pull down stairs and it was turned into more of a living space. It had a bedroom and two other side rooms that seemed to be storage rooms maybe.

Luna would explore them later, right now she was trying to set up her room. It was the afternoon when they got there and now it was night when Luna had finished putting everything how she wanted in her room. She got a jacket and her boots on before heading downstairs and ate some dinner that her brother made, then telling her father she was going out. He was hesitant at first but Sunny convinced him she would be fine since it wouldn’t be the first time she went out by herself at night. “Besides she’s a ‘creature of the night’ anyway.” Sunny said playfully, he loved teasing Luna about her nocturnal habits. Luna rolls her eyes but a soft chuckle still leaves her lips, “Mhm like you're a ‘day creature’ right?” she replied with slight sarcasm. They joked for a couple more minutes as they cleaned up  dinner. Afterwards Luna heads out while her father and brother head to bed for the night.
