The light of the sun was just barely coating the tops of the trees in it’s golden glow when Luna got back to the house. She had an extra key to get inside when she got home from her night exploration. She hoped her father or brother is awake yet as she usually doesn’t stay out that long when she goes out on her night explorations, even if it was winter time and the nights were getting longer. Normally she gets home at 12PM or 1AM, not 5AM. She probably wouldn’t get into much trouble but she knew it would worry her father more now than before because of this being a new place and the incident with their mother.. 

     Unlocking the back door that led into the kitchen and trying to be quiet as she opened the door, but as she opened it the door hinges made a loud squeaking noise along with the whining of the floorboards as she slipped inside. Closing the door behind herself and locking it after getting in, she waited a moment to see if she heard any other movement other than herself. Hearing nothing but silence she let out a breath of relief that she didn’t wake anyone. Putting the keys away in her pocket she got a snack and a drink before going upstairs to her room with it. Setting her snack inside of the helmet she was still carrying and held her drink in the other hand.

      As she was going up she heard her brother coming out of his room with a yawn. The stairs creaked as she was going up them and it made her brother glance up and see her. He grinned and moved some of his messy blonde hair out of his face “Good morning night owl.” he greeted her with before noticing the helmet and asked “Whatcha got there?”. She looked down at him “Morning goofball, and it’s just a helmet I bought at one of the stores in town.” she replied to him as she started heading back up the stairs. 

     Sunny went up the stairs to her and went with her into her room, “Well can I see it?” he asked her as she came into her room after her. Luna set her snack and drink down on her desk before turning to her brother, holding the helmet. She thought about it for a second before giving a shrug “Sure, just don’t break it or anything alright?” she told him as she handed him the helmet. Letting him hold and look at it as she took her hoodie and shoes off then sitting down at her desk. Sipping at her drink as she watched him look at the helmet. He turned the helmet around some in his hands as he looked at in, taking a look inside of it “Wow it’s really detailed, I would’ve mistaken it to be a real astronaut’s helmet.” he marveled at it bit more then he put it on with a grin “Look I’m an astronaut now. One small step for man, one large leap for mankind!” He said with a deeper voice trying to do an impression of Neil Armstrong that made Luna chuckle “Yeah an astronaut in dino pj pants.” Sunny stuck his tongue out at her playfully when she said that, which Luna does the same back to him with a giggle. 

     Sunny smiled and took the helmet off his head and ruffled his hair some so it wasn’t too flat looking after wearing the helmet. Setting it on her desk “Well I’m gonna go eat some breakfast so if ya need something from downstairs just holler for me alright?” he told her before he went back downstairs. Luna gave him a nod “Alrighty Sun.” she did a little wave to him as he left her room, closing the door behind him as he did. She hummed and got up out of her desk chair, glancing back at the helmet for a moment. She was definitely going back to that museum, there was more to see there and she knows it. Though what else could be hiding within the large building?
