I'd like to get 2 things clear.

1) This is not canon to anything.

2) None of the pictures I use are mine.

The only exception is my own OC's pictures, which I own myself.

Aura's narration

Have you ever lived a life full of mystery and unanswered questions?

How did you feel whenever your childhood was shattered by what reality really is?

It can often scare many when it's shown...while others revert to anger or denial.

For me, I didn't know what to feel.

I had been emotionally tortured for all of my youth, yet now my sadness and rage are absent.

How was my life?

Cursed....

It started when I was born from my parents, Orion and Lyra.

To most, it looked like what every other version of me went through, but two things were different.

1) I was born with a mark on my chest that none knew.

2) I never saw who murdered my parents, leaving their deaths a mystery.

From there, I was brought in by the old master Ki, who raised and trained me to be an honorable ninja.

My life was mostly isolated to the valley our monastery was in, either protecting it or training.

My sensei forbade me from going out at night on a blood moon or on Halloween night.

For some reason, the reason for staying inside was because of my birthday....which was never told to me on why.

I was born October 31st on a full purple moon.

What is that strange sight?

Basically it's a blood moon that is affected by one "League of Nightmares" magic spells.

The magic connected with my life force, which was blue, and used the moon as a way to tie me to whoever did it.

Hence, I'm the reason our dimension has the Purple Moon phenomenon.

Unfortunately, the ninja clan I was raised in fell...and somewhat was my fault.

I went on a reconnaissance mission Ki gave me, but I accidentally gave myself away when one of my shurikens missed.

After returning home, the enemy somehow managed to follow me here.......but no tracking devices were found on me.

The "Purge of Adabat" lasted a year, resulting in my entire clan dead.......including my sensei.

My close friends, Suzuki and Tanya, met mysterious deaths, with no one the wiser as to what killed them.

I was banished by Lord Rai after a brutal defeat, supposedly to never return.

But then I met new friends who saved me from near death...

...and immediately helped me turn the tide against Lord Rai, ending his tyranny for good.

After the dark lord's death, I sent myself into exile in the world's most isolated forest, never to be wielded by good or evil.

Unfortunately, my new friends never left me alone, constantly trying to drag me out on different holidays so I never lived life as a hermit or recluse.

I guess a rare friendship felt better than none...

...though I question if I should've even had them as friends.

It's too late to question it now.

Maybe I should show you what my fake reality was like?

First off is my best friend and childhood friend, Blaze.

I met her in my dreams as a child, but I never knew at the time how we were able to meet that way.

She had quite the load at a young age, and that says a lot for this world.

Blaze was a princess to a nearby kingdom, a guardian of it's Sol Emeralds and was able to control all forms of fire.

She was shy at first when we met, but she quickly grew to deeply care about me and hold high loyalty to me.

At least that's how I "remembered" her as.

Next up is Cream, my friend who saved me.

She's the nicest girl you will ever meet.

I never knew if she viewed me as a role model for a big brother or a father, but she looked up to me and Blaze a lot.

Her mother, Vanilla, was also one of the nicest of my friends.

In some cases, she would be anyone's mother, which was a relaxing change from the strict parenting Ki gave me.

What always bothered me about the two rabbits was their reluctance to be out in the sunshine.

They preferred the cloudy days of fall and winter over the sunny days of spring and summer.

Even when they had to get out in the sun, they always wore hats and long sleeves to cover their bodies.

It's rare to see Vanilla at her garden in the summer without her sunglasses on.

The truth couldn't be more shocking.

Then there's the heroic team of...

Sonic the Hedgehog

Miles "Tails" Prowler

Amy Rose

And Sally Acorn

Sonic was the "hero" of the world, fastest thing alive and probably the most brave, yet reckless guy I knew.

Tails was Sonic's best friend and adopted little brother, while also being the world's biggest genius.

Amy was Sonic's number 1 fan girl and self proclaimed girlfriend/future wife/mate, always trying to be with him.

And Sally was the princess of the largest Mobian kingdom, Sonic's childhood friend and leader of the "Freedom Fighters".

Tails was mostly normal, but I strangely found a lot of his belongings knocked over for a few nights.

I always felt Sonic was hiding something under his personality, which seemed to bubble up sometimes in things like growls, his tail wagging, being addicted to meat and always leaving on certain days.

Amy and Sally were close friends, but they both hid a secret feisty competition when no one was looking.

There's also Rouge the Bat.

She was G.U.N's best agent and the first person to try and get me adjusted to the modern world.

Her seductive nature seemed to always try to pry away at me, but failed every time.

Strangely, though is the fact that she disappears often to her bathroom or bedroom whenever we're deep into a movie or game.

The only non-strange friend I had was Espio.

He was a ninja who helped me take down my enemies during Lord Rai's reign.

He ALWAYS kept his word with me and reminded me of who I was.

What did we fight every month?

Doctor Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik, the greatest robotics genius in the world.

He tried to take over the world more times than your average villain, but always was defeated by us.

Sometimes he also had the alliance of Knuckles, the last Echidna.

Sadly, I never fought him whenever the two teamed up.

I heard most universes had Knuckles as a hero.

Yet my universe has him as a villain on the surface.

I think our Knuckles' motivation for helping Eggman was revenge for Sonic "accidentally" sending the Master Emerald into a void.

That's the life I was living beyond the woods, though I mostly hid and lived off the land.

At least that's what I always "thought" my life was.

I never knew that my mind had actually been hidden from the truth.

All of this was just a fantasy that I wished I had.

I was never told that I lived in a world full of monsters...

A world full of nightmares.
