That night, Popplio jumped out of it's Pokeball, he knew that no one would like him and choose him to be their partner, so he dicided to run away."Nevermind, I'll go find my partner!" Popplio said, sadly.He started to cry again. He jumped off the table and jumped up and nudged the door handle and opened the door and ran outside. He ran all the way towards a pond, where lots of water types lived. He felt like living with the wild Poke'mon, so he can live with his own kind.

Back in the lab, Litten's Pokeball rolled off the table and he jumped out. He knew something was wrong. He pawed Rowlet's Pokeball and Rowlet jumped out."What is it, Litten?" Rowlet asked. "Popplio's gone!" he replied. "Shh!" Rowlet shushed. They looked at Popplio's pokeball and it was empty. "You're right, Lit" Rowlet said. Then, they saw that the door was opened. "He must have ran outside to the pond!" Litten said, "let's go check it out".

They ran outside and walked towards the pond and hid behind a tree and watched Popplio. He jumped into the water and was playing with an Oshawott. "Were you abandoned from your trainer?" the Oshawott asked. "No! I ran away from Professor Kukui's lab" Popplio said, tears going down his cheek. "Why?" Oshawott asked. "Because no one liked me" Popplio replied, sadly.  "It's okay... they didn't like me at first either" Oshawott said. Popplio began to smile and wiped a tear out of his eyes.
