The Next was Aces first day at Auradon Prep. He was sitting in a chair next to Evie. He was in Remedial goodness 101 the only class he had with the other VKs.

"If someone hands you a crying baby do you A. Curse it B. Lock it in a tower C. Give it a bottle or D. Carve out its heart" Fairy godmother asked. Ace quickly raised his hand. "Ace" Fairy godmother said. "Give it a bottle" ace said. "correct again" fairy godmother said to the young boy smiling" evie patted him on his back smiling at him while mal just rolled her eyes at the young prince. "good job ace" Evie said to him.  ace smiled at himself feeling proud he was finally good at something besides croquet and sewing and sweeping. ace noticed Carrie entering the class room. "hello headmistress the young girl said to the old fairy. "hello Carrie how can I help you" fairy godmother asked.

"there are so many answers to that question you could help me carry my bag or help me eat my lunch but right now I need to take Ace to the guidance counselors office" she said pointing at her. "do you know her ace" Evie asked. Ace nodded. "she's the daughter of the caterpillar" Ace said. "the one who kept asking Alice who are you" Jay asked. "that's the one my long haired friend" Carrie asked. Carrie grabbed Ace and breathed out light blue smoke that circled around them and when it went away the four saw that they were gone with the smoke.

"where did they go" Evie asked concerned. "oh that Carrie" fairy godmother said smiling's "what happened where's ace" Carlos asked slightly panicked. "no need to worry you see certain wonderlandians have a power that we non wonderlandians don't it could be as simple as solving impossible puzzles and speaking riddlish or truly like magical like Carrie" Fairy godmother said to Carlos. "so what's her power" mal asked. "she has the power to teleport threw smoke and im quite certain their at the guidance counselors office so no need to worry about ace Carrie is as harmless as a  butterfly" fairy godmother said. Evie and Carlos let out a sigh of relief and jay and mal went back to looking like they couldn't care less.

Ace was sitting in the guidance counselors office. when Carrie had teleported them he was scared but once Carrie explained where they were ace began to calm down. "so your Ace Hearts" asked a voice. ace looked around the room and saw nothing. "where are you" he asked. "look down at the desk" the voice said. Ace looked down and saw  cricket wearing a top hat and a bow . "nice to meet you Mr Hearts im  your school guidance counselor Jiminy Cricket" he said. "nice to meet you" ace said siting down. jiminy pulled out a file. "so your the son of the Queen of Hearts and one of the transfers from the isle right" he asked. Ace nodded. "all right Ace im going to run  some tests with you alright" Jiminy said to the young wonderland prince." Ok but I haven't studied" Ace said. "its all right Ace you don't need to study for this test" Jiminy said smiling at the boy. "now lets begin" Jiminy said.

it was a half an hour later and Ace had just left and Jiminy was going over his results. when he heard the door open and in came ben the person who arranged for ace to meet him. "so what's your conclusion mr Cricket" ben asked. "well your majesty theirs no doubt about it Ace Hearts suffers from Autism spectrum disorder" Jiminy said. "ill notify his teachers and do you think you could tell his friends" the old cricket asked be.    "of course" ben said. "I cant imagine what it must have been like for that poor boy growing up on the island" jiminy said putting aces file away. "I know but lets be glad he's here now so he can get the help and support he didn't get back there" ben said. "I couldn't agree with you more your majesty" Jiminy said smiling at the prince.

Ace was currently painting white roses red. he was taught from an early age if he didn't paint white roses red his mother would get very very angry with him. "hey stop that" said a voice. he turned and saw a angry looking Audrey but he didn't understand why she was angry. "what do you think your doing" she asked as she marched over to him. "painting the roses red" ace said going back to painting them. "why" she asked. "because mommy will get angry with me if I don't and mommy's not very nice when she's angry. "well stop that" Audrey said. a blonde haired boy around aces age came over drawn b y the noise. "what's going on"  he asked.

"he's defacing the flower bed" Audrey said. the boy turned and looked at the roses that had been freshly painted. "so they look better red then white" he said. "unbelievable all you wonderland kids are the same" Audrey said marching off. " t thank you ace said to the boy. "no problem are you from wonderland" he asked. Ace shook his head. "no im Ace Hearts son of the Queen of Hearts im from the isle of the lost" ace said. "sweet im Alistair son of Alice" the blond boy said. Ace went wide eyed and began to feel the need to panic for he has just met the son of the woman who his mother had used to terrorize Ace all his life and who sometimes visits Aces nightmares
