In the last chapter, I discussed what romance is/feels like. In this chapter, I will be discussing the 4 core different romance compasses. Just an FYI, there are no predetermined definitions for the following, but they are similar to the sexualities definitions.

Homoromantic: to have romantic attractions solely to people of one's own sex.

Broken down, this means homoromantic people only have romantic feelings (like/love) for people that are the same sex.

A homoromantic man would only have romantic feelings for another man.

A homoromantic woman would only have romantic feelings for another woman.

Biromantic: to have romantic attractions to people of both sexes.

Broken down, this means biromantic people can have romantic feelings (like/love) for both men and women.

A biromantic man can have romantic feelings for both men and women.

A biromantic woman can have romantic feelings for both men and women.

Heteroromantic: to have romantic attractions solely to people of the opposite sex.

Broken down, this means heteroromantic people only have romantic feelings (like/love) for people that are the opposite sex.

A heteroromantic man would only have romantic feelings for a woman.

A heteroromantic woman would only have romantic feelings for a man.

Aromantic: to have no romantic attractions to people of either sex.

Broken down, this means aromantic people have no romantic feelings (like/love) for people of either sex.

An aromantic man would have no romantic feelings for men or women.

An aromantic woman would have no romantic feelings for men or women.

I hope this helped clear some things up!
