NOTE: Dedicated to @Cloudfall_Da_Cat for helping me think of the idea for this chapter

"Shiningkit, Shiningkit!" Merrykit squealed, jumping up and down. Next to her, a yellow she-kit was jumping, too.

"What?" Shiningkit groaned. "What do you want, Merrykit and whatsyourfacekit?"

"It's Dewkit!" the yellow kit squealed.

"Anyways, what do you want?" Shiningkit said.

"Let's go on an adventure out of camp!" said Merrykit.

"Nah, no thanks." Shiningkit flopped onto her back.

"Please?" begged Dewkit.

"No."

"Please?" said Merrykit.

"No."

"Please?"

"No."

"Please?"

"No."

"Please?"

"No."

"Please?"

"No."

"Please?"

"No."

"Pl--" Oh you get the idea!

After all the pleases and nos were over, "Why not?" Dewkit finally said.

"Because... it's against the warrior code and all... that... ...stuff." What she really wanted to say was Because our mothers are watching us, hello! but she could say that, because their mothers were watching them. She winked in hopes that the other kits would know what she meant.

Dewkit winked back. "Winking is fun!"

That night, while BoulderClan slept, some small silhouettes silently slipped through the bushes. As soon as they were out of camp, they ran off into the forest, near Twolegplace. Merrykit whispered, "How are we able to sneak out of camp like this without getting caught?"

Shiningkit shrugged. "It's a cliche, really. Every other kit in the history of Clans has done it, so naturally we can, too."

"Shiningkit logic is flawless," breathed Dewkit.

"But there's another thing that every other kit in the history of Clans has done!" Shiningkit continued. "As soon as they were out of camp, they either sat there and done nothing, waiting to be escorted home, or gotten themselves in danger. We won't do that! We will have the ultimate adventure!"

"Hooray!" squealed her friends.

"And what place would be better to explore than Twolegplace?" She snuck further into the Twolegplace. Dewkit and Merrykit followed.

The trio walked in Twolegplace until they arrived to what seemed to be a Thunderpath, but was made from dirt*, a Thundirtpath, if you will. It was a short path, that seemed to lead from a Twoleg nest to a small Thunderpath.

"So, where do we go now?" asked Shiningkit.

"Aren't you the one who's supposed to know everything?" Dewkit retorted.

"If I did, I'd come off as a mary-sue, and nobody would like me!" Shiningkit spat.

"What does that mean?" Merrykit tilted her head.

Shiningkit's eyes widened. "I... don't know."

"Well I suggest we head over there," Merrykit. faced the Twoleg nest the Thundirtpath led to. "Because it's all close by, and we won't get lost."

"Does everybody in your family have flawless logic?" Dewkit asked, off-topic.

"Nah, just me and Merrykit," Shiningkit said.

"Let's split up and look around for a place to get in. Then return to the Thundirtpath. If any of us find a way in, they'll tell us." And with that, Merrykit ran off. Dewkit and Shiningkit went their own way.

Shiningkit sniffed the air. The only thing she could scent was the stench of Twolegplace. She decided that smelling stuff wouldn't get her anywhere, so she decided to do some actual looking around. Soon after, she discovered a small crack in the nest's walls. She returned to the Thundirtpath.

"Did you find anything?" asked Dewkit.

"Nah," said Merrykit.

"I did I did!!" Shiningkit ran back to the opening she found.

"Nice job, Shiningkit!" Merrykit said. "Let's go in." One by one, they slipped through the crack.

Shiningkit looked around. This Twoleg den was larger than her Clan camp! There was so much to explore. "I'll go over here," she muttered to the others, and went inside a den. There was a flap outside the den, but it swung open in a small push. And inside there was the strangest, and most intriguing, object she had ever seen.

The object looked like a large rock, that was flat on the front. The front was covered in a clear substance. Connected to the rock were two gray vines. Each vine had a smaller rock at the end. One was small and round, the other was long and flat. When Shiningkit touched the object, it was cold. Fascinated somehow by the object, she touched the cold, clear substance with her nose.

* - Dirt as in soil, not dirt as in.. er... the other kind.
