Hachi landed outside of the cave where Maddrair and Bellarose was staying. He hurried inside with the children on his back as they didn't have much time left. "Maddrair!" Mimi called out and gave a slight look of relief when the grey dragon walked forward "Can I help you?" He frowned a bit. Were they supposed to be back home? "The Empress is going to be executed tomorrow night! We have to get to the palace before it's too late!" She exclaimed quickly. "Executed?" He questioned as they began to hurry to the front of the cave. "Yes, the white dragon Velvet is using tje Black With to keep her frozen in place and threatened to kill Rain if everyone else didn't tell the other Alphas." She explained as they took to the skies. Maddrair ignored the screaming pain in his wings as he pumped them. "The palace is this way!" Hachi swiftly followed the older dragon. "What are we going to do when we get there!?" Ralph called over the rushing winds. "Find a way to get in the castle and delay the execution for as long as possible!" Maddrair called back "If I know my brother, he is recruiting the Alphas as we speak." "That's great!" Jack called out as they fell into silence. It was back to the palace, only this time instead of pleading with the Empress to send them back home, they were saving her life. It was weird to think about.

In the palace, Velvet had Rain and Star placed in anti magic cuffs to keep them from escaping the cell as they had to wait for the Empress' time to run out. Velvet giggled happily as she made her way through the castle, looking at everything that was soon to be hers! She was so excited. She was going to have to make a few changes.
Then she came across the room that said 'Do Not Disturb.' carved into the door. She rolled her eyes and pushed open the small door, glancing inside.
The entire room was white and decorated in lilies. Velvet grinned "Ah, so that's where you've been laid to rest." She backed away from the door and called the Black Witch to her.
The woman hurried over, tying her poofy hair out of her face, "Yes ma'am?" "I want you to go into this room and see if you can drain any remaining magic from her body and give it to me." Velvet held the door open as the Black Witch pushed up her glasses "But doing magic like that is forbidden." "Do you want to see your daughter live?" Velvet snarled and the woman hurried into the room. She shook when the door closed behind her. She slowly walked down the steps, swallowing the lump in her throat "Uh...hello?" She called out softly. "How can I help you Mrs. McArthur?" A voice replied and the Witch glanced up to see the soul of the younger sister "Ah, so you are still here." "Well, I am unable to rest properly and I am still chained to this world." She spoke and gently floated down "So what is it you need? There seems to be a lot of commotion going on these days." "Ah, yes, about that..." The witch rubbed the back of her neck in a nervous manner as she finally made her way to the coffin.

Back outside the palace, Hachi and the rest of the group had just arrived. "Land on the roof and the children will go inside." Maddrair instructed. "What?" Jack asked as the two dragons circled the top of the castle. "We have to take care of the guards. You three run inside and follow the glass shards down to the cells where they are most likely keeping the Empress and the old man." Maddrair started to explain "The glass shards can be seen from the floor only, it was made as a secret getaway in case the castle was attacked." "Sounds good!" Mimi gave him a thumbs up before the boys could reply and they were immediately dropped off on the roof. "Be quick! We don't have a lot of time!" Maddrair urged them before the two dragons flew off to distract the guards.
"I can't believe we are doing this." Jack muttered as he followed Mimi and Ralph in through the opening hatch on the roof and carefully jumped down into the cool castle room. It was dark and also eerily silent. "Which way do we go?" Mimi whispered "I can't see a damn thing!" "Just wander around until you find a door." Ralph whispered back and the three bumbled around the room. It took a couple of minutes but they were able to find the door and sneak out into the brighter hallway. Ralph pointed at the glass shard in the floor and hurried off in a random direction, hoping he was going the right way.
The three stumbled through the hallways as they did their best to remain quiet and out of sight of any guards that happened to be left in the palace. Jack tapped his brother's shoulder and then pointed to an air vent that was above them. What if they climbed through? Ralph shook his head, making motions with his hands to tell his brother that the vent would be far too noisy. Mimi shoved both of them forwards once the coast was clear. "We should be almost there, right?" She uttered and stood against the side of the wall, carefully glancing around it. "We have been going down for a while." Jack knitted his brows together as he checked behind them. "Let's try that door." Ralph pointed to a solid steel door. The three ran over and opened the door, slipping inside before closing the heavy door behind them. "Hello?" Mimi called out in a slightly loud voice, it echoing down the empty stairwell. She shrugged as they hurried doen the steps, they had to be quick.

Once at the bottom of the steps, the trio broke off and raced through the prison looking for the Empress and Rain.
Mimi rushed around and turned a corner, only to run into an old sleeping dragon. In his claws was a cage with a small girl sitting inside, crying softly. Mimi backed up a few feet before she looked at the dragon trying to figure out how to get the girl away from this dragon. He was far too big to fight on her own. He shifted beginning to wake up as the young girl stood up in the cage. "Help me." Her voice wavered in fear. Mimi glanced down at the necklace around her neck and thought about it. It might be the only choice she has. The dragon's brown eye drifted over to Mimi and looked at her "Why don't you just leave before I have to squash you like a bug?" He sounded tired. "I can't do that. I have to save the girl." Mimi replied as she pointed a finger at him with a sharp look of determination in her eyes. The dragon rolled over onto his side and swiped his tail at Mimi, flinging her across the room. "You're not going to be much of a fight." Mimi gasped out once she hit a few cage bars and sat there dazed for a few seconds. She shook her head to regain herself before she slightly relaxed. The dragon was right, fighting her as a human would be far too easy. She looked at the necklace around her neck again and then grabbed it. She stood up and hurried back over to the dragon "If you want to fight dirty, then we'll fight dirty!" She smashed the scale against the ground and it shattered into a million pieces.
There was a bright flash of light and Mimi's screams of her body changing turned into a roar of a dragon. Once the light vanished, a pink dragon stood in place of Mimi. She snarled at the brown dragon "Let's fight!"
The dragon stood up quickly and he shifted his form as he prepared for an attack. Mimi took a step forward, only to stumble into a nearby wall. The brown dragon watch her in confusion. She looked like a newborn trying to learn to walk. She backed up and looked at him, grinning with embarrassment "This is harder than I thought." He shook his head and just pushed her back away from the cage "This is stupid. You can't even walk properly, let alone fight me." Mimi growled in annoyance. She didn't realize that she would have to learn how to walk again. "It shouldn't be that hard! It's only two extra legs!" The brown dragon chuckled in amusement "You also have a bigger body, a tail to balance out your long neck...your basically a baby dragon." "Shut up!" She exclaimed "I thought maybe it would transfer knowledge or something!" "You thought you would just change into a dragon and immediately know how to use that body?" He laughed. This was honestly the funniest thing he had seen in a long time. "Stop laughing!" She snarled but he just banged his fist on the ground as he laughed harder. Then she realized that she could just sneak forward while he was laughing.

On the other side of the prison, Jack and Ralph were looking through the keys in the office, trying to find one that would unlock the cell door and the anti magic cuffs that was stopping the two dragons from escaping on their own. Jack grabbed a bunch of door keys and just hurried over to the cell where he began to put the keys in and trying to open the lock. He grumbled when some didn't work and tossed them aside. Rain moved over to the bars and let Ralph try the cuff keys.
"You should leave me here." Star spoke up as she looked at the three boys. "What?" Rain asked her in shock. "It will be easier for the rest of you to escape if I am still here when Velvet comes to bring me to the execution stand." She began to explain "I have faith in my people." She had very strong faith that her people would get to her before her head was chopped off in front of everyone. "If that is what you want to do." Rain muttered "You do have to take in the fact that most of your people live far away from the palace." "If I die, I die. I am prepared to meet my end." She shrugged. Jack swung the door open and Rain just sighed softly "Just leave her here boys." He rubbed his wrists after his cuffs clattered to the floor. He could sense that his Queen wasn't going to go down without a fight. "What!?" They squeaked out but Rain shoved them out of the cell and locked the door back "Trust me. She knows what she's doing. Let's find Mimi and get out of here."
Star watched as the boys followed Rain leaving her in the cell. She smiled softly "Thank you for having so much faith in me." She didn't have a plan. She felt that today was the day that she was going to die.
