After the slow dance, everyone sat down to eat. The biggest table was reserved for Max, Gidget, and their closest friends. The others took seats at other tables. As everyone began digging in, nobody noticed Snowball heading up to the microphone until he coughed to get everyone's attention. A second later, all eyes were trained on him. "Hey everybody, I... uh... wanted to make a toast to my pal Tiny Dog."

"I love toast!" Tattoo shouted from one of the other tables. Nitro tossed a fish at his face in response.

Rolling his eyes at Tattoo, Snowball went on, "A full year ago, if you recall Tiny Dog, we had our ups and downs. You killed the Viper, I swore revenge, that kind of thing. But I saved your life, probably like two or three times that day," the remark was followed by laughter, "And I guess you got my butt out of that bus you crashed." Again, more laughter. Smiling, Snowball concluded, "And though I have no idea why you stuck by me throughout this whole year, I just want to say... thank you for being my friend."

"Now I know both me and Max had a bit of a... uh... small war between us when we first met, I guess," Duke attempted to explain, "And that caused us to get lost... my bad." The audience chuckled at this before Duke continued, "But we were always there for each other. We might not be related by blood but that's what I call brotherly love. I don't know what else to call it other than that. And I am glad to call you my brother Max."

"Gidget, I'm pretty sure you remember how we first met," Tiberius spoke up as he took the microphone. Recalling the memory, Gidget nodded. "Oh you do?!" the old hawk pretended to be surprised, "Rats, I feared you would say that." Several pets laughed as he went on, "Well, just to paint the picture for everyone else Gidget, I was in my shed, you were looking for Max. Long story short, I tried to eat you. Then I thought I was the one who was going to die!" Laughter went all around the room. The old hawk waited patiently before he continued, "But if you hadn't become my friend that day, not only would you be dead," laughter, "I wouldn't be standing here in a room filled with friends."

"Please understand I'm not great at this," Chloe muttered, causing a few chuckles in the crowd. Looking up, the tabby hissed, "Who did that?! Was it you?!" She pointed a claw at Buddy suspiciously. The pets roared with laughter. Taking a deep breath, Chloe murmured, "I think I have trust issues..." Tail twitching, she picked up where she left off, "Max and Gidget, I just want you to know... I don't care one little bit about your relationship." Laughter rang out as Chloe went on, "I honestly don't." Pretending to be hurt, Gidget cried, "Why are you so mean Chloe?!" Shrugging her shoulders, Chloe replied, "Guess it's my nature." Duke laughed so hard he fell off his chair. Looking over at the large mutt, Chloe murmured, "Dog falling off a chair, check! What's next, I bring the house down? This is Pops' place, right?" Everyone laughed at her comment, especially Pops. Clearing her throat, she continued, "But seriously, Max and Gidget, I don't care about your relationship... other than the fact that if someone hates it, they gonna talk to me." Chloe smiled comically as everyone applauded her.
