I thought about how I would write my letter and what I would put in it. I decided to keep it short, sweet, simple, and to the point. I eagerly headed to my room to get started. When I got to my room, I sat down excitedly, and began to write to my family.

Dear everyone,
Wow! I still can't believe I wasn't kicked out yet. I hope you are all doing well. I'm actually doing okay, despite being in a palace. I've already met and talked to Princess Alesa, she's actually nicer in person I have to say. Don't worry about me too much, I'm not lonely. A lot of the guys are mean and power hungry, but I have made a friend. Remember Mitch, a three? Yeah, he's really nice. I'm glad he's here and he's NOT finding a chance to rip my throat out. The other guys are I guess you could say tolerable. They don't like me, I don't like them. Perfect harmony eh? Anyway, miss you guys, and I can't wait for all of you to see me on The Report this Friday. I miss all of you, and I hope to see all of you soon.

I hurried over to Jeffrey the butler, who would deliver the tarts and I handed him the letter to go with it. "Thank you Jeffrey." I said. "No, thank you, sir Adam." He replied, giving me a bow. I was free for the rest of the day, until this afternoon where we would find out if Rachael laughed or not. I decided to go hang out with Mitch in the Men's Room. Mitch saw me immediately and waved me over. I came over and sat next to him. "Dude, you realize if you lose you get to have the first date with the Princess." "Ugh, don't point it out please!" I groaned, burying my face into my hands. "Dude, I'm so happy for you!" He squealed like a teenage girl. I glared at him for a bit, then sighed. "I honestly don't know how I feel about it." I admitted. "Hey, just be you. I mean, so far she's liked you for you, right?" "I guess that's true." I admitted. We chatted until lunchtime, then we had to go to the dinning room to eat with everyone. Princess Alesa was at her usual spot with her family, and she awkwardly winked at me as I walked by. I gave her a mock salute, and she giggled. Mitch raised one eyebrow at me and smirked. I just rolled my eyes back at him, as we sat down for lunch. Lunch was pretty good, it was lobster with a bunch of assorted vegetables. I have never had lobster before, and holy crap it was good. After lunch, we went back to the Men's room to chill out. All of a sudden I feel a wave of nervousness. Like, what if I lose? Wait, am I seriously thinking this? I don't even want to marry her anyway, so why am I scared I'll lose? I need to focus on something else. Mitch and I decided to play each other in a game of chess. I had to teach him how to play, because he hadn't ever played before. I beat him three times in a row. "Dang Adam, you should play Princess Alesa sometime, you know, show her royalty aren't the only good chess players." "What makes you associate royalty with chess?" I asked. "I dunno, I just always have." I rolled my eyes, not even wanting to answer that. Before we started our next game we heard a knock on the door. It was that butler guy, Jeffrey. "Sir Adam, I am here to inform you your little sister did not cry over the strawberry tarts. Princess Alesa will escort you from your room tomorrow night for an evening walk together." Everyone stared at me, except for Jason who was glaring at. me. Jeffrey also gave me letters from my parents. I guess Princess Alesa was expecting me tomorrow night.
