Lachlan glanced down at the child he'd just run into. The little boy shook nervously and was frozen in place. Lachlan bent down to get a better look at the kid.
"Hey. You okay? What's your name, kid?"
"I-I'm Harry..."
"How old are you?"
"...5..."
"Wait. You're too young. Why are you in here?"
"My parents didn't really like me. They told them I was 6."
"Oh. Do you want some bread? It's all I got."
"Oooh! Yes please!" Harry said with a grin.
Lachlan pulled it out, and was tackled by several little kids.
"So you're the one Vikk's following!"
"Are you sure it's him?"
"I know it. It's him."
"Oooooooh! Some-one's got a cru-ush!"
"It's gotta be him. He's got the girly blonde hair."
"Where? I don't see it!"
The one boy walked over, let Lachlan sit up, and pulled on his hair.
"See? It's him!"
"Hey! Let go."
The boy let go of his hair and stepped back. They all stood there quietly, and Harry sat down next to Lachlan.
"Okay. How do you know me and who are you talking about. I didn't hear a word you said."
"Oh! We know you because... We remember him following you, and we're talking about Vikk."
"Well... Hold on. Are you following him?"
"Sort of. He's hard to follow."
"What do you mean 'hard to follow'?"
"He moves really fast and he's always in the shadows."
"But- if we stay close to you, we're bound to see him."
"What? Why me?"
"'Cause you're the one he follows. Duh. If we stick to you, and he follows you-"
"Then he'll come and we'll see him! It's perfect!"
"But... Why me?"
"Oh my god! It's 'cause he likes you. If he didn't, he wouldn't follow you. God, you're so thick."

Pulling up his mask, Vikk slunk down the hall to find Lachlan. What he found was the small group of boys that had- slowly but surely- annoyed the absolute crap out of Vikk. He tried to hide, but the boys spotted him and went crazy.
"I told you! I called it! He's right there!"
"Oh my god! VIIIIIIKKKKKKKK!!!"
'Aw shit.'
Lachlan started to turn, and Vikk flinched. Lachlan faced him, and Vikk bolted back the way he came.
"Vikk wait!"
"Come back! We love you!"
"Nuuuuuuu plz! Come back!"
"We'll get Lachlan to kiss you sooner or later!"
"Wait. What?!"

Mitch walked along, shivering, and glanced around nervously. Rob, the dude, had pretty much threatened him.
'I'm so confused!'
A growl.
Mitch squeezed his eyes shut, shaking. The growling grew louder, and then Mitch felt hot breath on his face.
"өөҜ αϯ ϻϵ."
"N-no, please... Leave me alone!" He cried, stumbling back, onto the ground. He lay, frozen in fear, and then felt the beast's great paws holding him down.
He remembered Rob's advice, cracking his eyes open to look at the furry creature.
"A-ace...? W-what... w-were you?"
Its eyes widened, then turned to slits.
"ϯhαϯ'ϩ ͷϴϯ ϻϒ ͷαϻϵ."
"Th-then... What is it?" Mitch squeaked, terrified out of his wits. The beast got off of him, obviously shaken.
"jϵrϴϻϵ αͼϵϯῖ."
"But... That's a human name!!" Mitch cried, and the beast let out a roar, breaking into an all-fours sprint and running away.
Mitch got up, sweating buckets, the branching down to his shoulder. He had gotten away. He was alive. But...
The beast didn't know it was human...

Preston stared hard at Rob. He had been doing so for a while, ever since that Mitch guy had left. Rob glanced at him.
"Gonna tell me why you're staring, kid?"
Preston sighed, sweeping his hair back.
"Why were you so mean to that guy?"
Rob shrugged. "Was I mean? Yes. Does it matter? No, it doesn't."
Preston flinched at the hostility in Rob's answer, as he set up the blankets and pillows for bed tonight. 'What happened to the nice Rob?' He thought as Rob finished making the bed and stood up.
His dream advice didn't suddenly pop into his head, like it would in a survival situation.
He sighed, resuming his staring.
"Rob?"
Rob looked at him again. "Yes?"
"... nothing..." Preston muttered, and turned away.

Lachy lay in the middle of a pile of children, all sleeping. Everyone was on a different sleep schedule in the Maze...
But it seemed like a good time to sleep, so Lachlan closed his eyes, and sleep came.

Mitch followed the path the beast had taken, carefully stepping, worried about ambush. Even if anyone did ambush him, he was keeping his bitten shoulder bare.
For now, at least.
Mitch was a curious teen, for sure. But he was also cowardly, so whenever he let his curiousity lead him, he was always poised to run.
He almost tripped over a pile of rocks in front of him, then pressed himself against the wall.
Those weren't rocks.

Those were human bones.

Interesting, eh?

Sorry it took so long. Too much stuff to do, but now summer's in and school's out. I have more time. Here we go!

Love you guys!
