Shinsou's POV
I looked at the screen and saw my fight was against Kigarashi (if you're confused your dumbass author messed up and forgot to put the set surname for here maybe I should start trying coffee).

He's the number one in the Sports Festival so far.

Getting first place in the race with a warping quirk seriously how many quirks does this guy have? and using a similar quirk during the Calvary battle.

I scanned the crowd for him and caught sight of the green haired Hero course student.

"You're Izuku Kigarashi, right?" I asked from behind him.

I decided to try and use my quirk just to see how dense he is.

He looked at me and was about to speak only to have the monkey's tail wrapped around his mouth.

"Humph" I said as I left him to talk with the monkey.

I was hoping to get an early first win in secret to save it for the later rounds but it appears I have to show it off.

My villainous quirk will be used for hero work.

The others are mere obstacles of mine to reach my goal.

I will become a hero.

"THE NUMBER ONE OF THE SPORTS FESTIVAL SO FAR AND CLASS 1-A'S DEADLY ASSASSIN! IZUKU KIGARASHI!" Present Mic yelled as Kigarashi entered the ring.

"AND HITOSHI SHINSOU! HE HASNT DONE ANYTHING MEMORABLE YET BUT HE'S HERE!"

"Wow you mother f-"

"Begin!" Midnight declared.

"So you're Kigarashi right? You're awfully quiet right now" I said. "You know someone like you is really lucky to get such an amazing quirk-"

"And people like you are whiny idiots who only know to complain."

I tched at his words as my quirk came into effect.

"AND KIGARASHI IS FROZEN!"

Eraserhead started talking about my quirk and why I failed the exam and he even said I would win if Kigarashi didn't snap out of it.

"Now step out of bounds" I ordered and he didn't move.

His eyes were showing that I had him on my control so it should work but then he slowly shut his eyes tight and opened his eyes again and was free.

"AND KIGARASHI IS FREE! THAT WAS SHORT LIVED!"

"How!?!" I said panicked as he made his way over.

Red lines formed on his arm and he threw a punch at me and I barely dodged.

"How did you break free!?!" I asked and he remained silent.

"That monkey told you about my quirk didn't he!?! Speak dammit!" I said as I pushed him on the face only for his head to whirl to the side nothing more.

"Pathetic!" He said coldly as he punched me hard on the stomach before he quirk could go into effect.

I flew straight into the wall as a result.

He walked over, unaffected by my quirk.

"How.... How is my quirk not working!?!" I asked desperately as I felt blood trickle down.

"............" he turned around and mumbled something barely loud enough for me to hear.

"I've felt.... worse"

Todoroki's POV
Kigarashi's fight just ended and I couldn't help but notice how dull his eyes looked.

He looked almost exactly like when we talked privately except his expression was dull as well.

His arms were slumped down and his walking was extremely stiff.

I decide to brush it off as he did break free of what appears to be a brainwashing quirk twice.

He must have really strong mental strength from his training.

I feel a tinge of annoyance remembering our conversation.

He mocked my question but when I told him about my past he stiffened.

Kigarashi is a very stiff person in general.

I wonder why.....

I decide to go to my match when I encountered the last man I wanted to see today.

Well isn't that plain interesting

Todoroki froze half of the stadium and nearly me and the others.

For a hero's child he sure has a lot of issues. I almost feel bad for him.

Almost? He looks so sad...
