Hello there, to those who actually read this book, there is a lot of "horse talk" in my book. I am in pony club, so I use a lot of different terms as well. So this chapter is just to let you understand what in the world I'm even talking about! :)

Dressage: it's like ballet for horses, it's all about getting the horse to listen to almost invisible aids, it's seem less and tranquil.

Hunter: I don't mean to hurt any hunter people's feelings, but honestly, hunters is all about who has the prettiest horse, it has to be a bay( brown horse with black mane and tail) and they have to be expensive

Jumper: This is all about talent, who can get around the corse the quickest and with the least amount of faults!

Cross country: it's also a horse sport, this one takes a brave rider and horse, it also needs endurance and talent, not for everyone

Eventing: cross country, jumping and dressage all in three days

Double bridle: has two bits in the horses mouth, a curb bit, which has a lot of breaks to it and a snaffle, which is a light but that is used the most

Saddles: in dressage they tend to be black, just cuz that's the way they trend, hunter/ jumper saddles are generally any color of brown and have short flaps so that you can get over the jump, evening..... I'm not sure. Western, wide with horn and meant for all day work

Breeds: through bred, generally race horses, or jumpers, they are generally lean and fast. Quarter horses are most commonly western horses, they run on the small side, and generally have very easy going temperaments, friesans are almost always black, they have fluffy things at the end of their legs called feathers, they are sweet and are romance horses. Andalusians are Spanish horses, used in midevil times, calivia, or any horse show that features horses with high knee action and long manes. Hot horses, beautiful and forgiving. I'll mention more as the story goes on breed wise

To counter common belief, horses don't survive off of apples and carrots, those are actually what we call succulents, they are generally treats. Horses eat roughages, alfalfa, orchard, oat hay, and many more, they also eat grain and what we call complete feeds!

I hope this chapter was helpful for those reading this who don't know anything about horses, also one last thing, horses don't weigh 200 lbs, they tend to weigh around 1100 if they are small, so can you imagine getting stepped on a horse? Believe me, it hurts!

I'll be posting a new chap pretty soon! Hope some people read this!😁
