Bonus Chapter part 1
Morgan's POV:
I heard the rooster crow.
Talk about being a nosy old thing.
I got up and put on a plaid green top, jeans, some socks, cowboy boots, and a hat.
I hoped Lucy was alright. It was unlike her to be so quiet.
It had been six months since I last saw her.
I had a farm. Lucy and her folks had moved away.
I wrote to her.
I missed her smile.
I missed everything about her.
I milked the cow and thought of her. Everything I did or said reminded me of her.
I knew it was silly, but I hoped she would return soon.
I felt my love for her grow stronger over the months of separation.
I sighed.
What was I to her?
I never got a clear answer.
All she had said was, "I am not sure. I am sorry. Morgan, I never meant to lead you on or anything."
I recalled she held my hand until it was time for the festival to end.
I felt it drop as she waved goodbye to me.
I would have begged her to stay if I had known it was the last time I would see her.
Stay for what? She did not know how she stood with me or how she felt.
Yep, I had it bad.
My weakness was Lucy.
