TRIGGER WARNINGS!! Mentions of abuse and other things. Two people are using these things as insults so please be wary when reading.

I woke up the next day to see Dr Soro placing down a tray of food on the only table, beside it was a neat pile of white clothes. As soon as he noticed that I was awake he straightened up and pulled out his clipboard, making a note. I sat up from the bed and watched him carefully. Ty did explain yesterday they brought food to us. Was it already morning though? I never had this good of a sleep since I had a home.

"Guards will come get you for lunch. This is when you converse with others and learn about this place. Some things will be lies of course, so tell me what they say so I can clear it," He explain, clicking his pen and looking up, "you didn't take off your jacket?"

Looking down, I see my black tattered jacket. I've had it for ages now, Cave had found it behind a clothing store. A few days before he was shot. I haven't taken it off in fear that someone would take it. It looked expensive beforehand. I tightened my grip on it, not saying a word to the doctor. I see Ty come into view through the glass, hand covering his necklace.

"Very well. If you're not changed by the time the guards get here you're not receiving lunch," Soro left, going through the opening in the yellow glass, it closed behind him.

"He isn't usually this mean," Ty spoke up once he was out of earshot, "he's trying to help us but they put him under strict rules after Mitch came here. Mitch had attacked him when mentioning... What was it??? Was it the word... Abuse?"

There was a thud on the other side, I turned to see Mitch had slammed his shoulder on the wall, absolutely pissed. Ty smirked, and suddenly the whole atmosphere became heavy with an unsettling feeling. I pressed myself closer to the steel wall, keeping away from both.

"How'd he use it? 'Is your 'friend' abusing you," Ty mocked Seto's voice, almost sounding exactly like him, "did he also say 'does your 'friend' use you?'"

"I would SHUT YOUR MOUTH BEFORE I BREAK OUT OF HERE YOU FILTHY FUCKING SIREN," Mitch screamed, the words echoing in my cell, "WHAT ABOUT YOUR TRIGGER WORDS! HUH? YOU FUCKING WHORE!!"

Ty's demeanor changed drastically, from cocky to anger, "YOU'RE A PLAY TOY! A CHEW TOY TO THIS BEAST YOU CALL A FRIEND! YOURE NO LONGER HUMAN CAUSE OF IT! IF I COULD FIND IT I'D MAKE IT WALK OFF A CLIFF!"

"YOU WOULDN'T DARE," Mitch screamed back. My eye was twitching, something was stirring inside me. "ADMIT IT YOU SIREN! YOU USE YOUR VOICE TO LURE OTHERS TO THEIR DEATH! HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE DIED TO SATIFY YOU? HOW MANY PEOPLE-"

A black wall shot out, covering the yellow glass on both sides. Screams filled the air, and I couldn't tell if it was me or the two. An alarm was sounded, but it sounded distant and faint. My vision blurred, sending everything into a tilt and swirl. In second the blackness slinked away slowly, forming the shadows of the rooms and my own. Two guards bursted into my room, gun raised. Dr Soro was right behind them, shocked.

"What are you?"

--

I woke up in a new cell, the walls were now all steels besides the front glass one. Soro was standing on the other side, that damn clipboard in hand. I went to move but soon realized my hands were chained behind me. He looked up and clicked his pen, placing it in the lab coat pocket.

"What is your power," he questioned, saying it like it was thinking out loud. I pulled at my restraints again, glaring at him.

"I don't know," my voice sounded strained and weak, like it wasn't my own. He narrowed his eyes and the glass moved to create an opening, allowing him in.

"You did something back there. Now, you can either form black energy itself which means we have to kill you, or it's a new abnormal power. Now spit it out. What is your power," he hissed out the last sentence. I straightened up more, keeping my head high.

"I don't know. And I would prefer death over being caged," I kept my voice from wavering, staring him dead in the eye. This made him back up, his persona changing. He wasn't giving away what he was feeling, and it was pissing me off.

"Well. How about we figure it out," Dr Soro crossed his arms, "I'll strike a deal. I'll allow you back to your room and lunch privileges, but you have a week to figure yourself out or it's a death sentences. We can't allow you to hurt other."

I stayed silent for a moment, studying him to see if he was lying or not. I couldn't tell. Well, there's nothing to lose. Taking a deep breath, I nodded, now slouching in defeat. I heard a pen and scratching as he took note.

"Lunch is in an hour. The clothes you will wear from now on are in here. I'll be back to pick you up."

--

The halls were longer than I expected. They seemed to span on forever. Once I had put on the clothes, which was a white t-shirt with collar, black pants, and plain shoes, two guards came and got me. The shirt had a stitched number, I'm guessing it's mine. We had gone up in the elevator to my level presuming, since I saw Soro in a cell with another.

The person has on long black sleeves and black pants. He had electric blue hair that swooped up in the front. He also wore fingerless gloves. When he noticed me he stopped talking and just stared, a sick grin spreading on his face. Soro turned and saw me, turning back to the guy and scolding him most likely. The guards turned me down a corner and I lost sight of him.

They lead me to a rounded door labeled 'Second 4-15', opened it, and the smell of food hit me. It was a fairly sized room with an area with rows of long tables and the other looked more comfy. It had a carpet with a couple bean bags and a couch. A tv stand was in the corner, with no tv. It looked like it had been removed. Two people were in the area now.

A boy who didn't look any older than I was, he has short brown hair with a green cloth wrapped around his eyes. He was using an old type writer, the clicking loud enough for me to hear. A guy with silver hair was at his side, mumbling something into his ear. Both is their skins was ghostly white. I felt a tap on my shoulder and saw Ty standing next to me, a smile on his face.

"Welcome to our lunch room! This area is for people under Soro's care. There's about nine more on this level. Here, my friends are over here," he pointed to a table that had three over people. We walked over and I sat next to Ty, sitting across from a fish looking person. He had gils on his neck and fins were his ears should be. His skin had a blushish tone. When he smiled, he had shark teeth.

"This is Quentin. His mutation was part fish-"

"Amphibian. Specifically related to the Axolotl," he corrected, his fin 'ears' popping out to full size. Ty rolled his eyes and pointed to the next person. He was small and younger looking compared to the others. He smile and waved.

"That's Jason. Mutation strength. Including voice. He's gone deaf due to it."

"Nice to meet you," he whispered, I think. It sounded loud but his lips barely moved. The guy next to Jason had his arm around him protectively. His other arm rested on the table. It had third, maybe fourth, degree burns.

"That's Ian. Mutation is controlling fire and starting one. Luckily he was born with fire resistance... Minus elbow below," Ty smiled and got up, "I'm getting food. Wanna join?"

I shook my head and looked back to everyone, seeing them stare at me. I swallowed and gave them a wave, getting another smile from Jason.

"What's your name," Quentin asked, fins going up like cat ears would, "and especially your mutation."

"I'm Taylor," I paused, wondering what I would even call my mutation, "I... Um... Er... Don't... Quite... Know..."

"How can't you," Ian tilted his head, getting Jason to silently laugh. I shrugged, looking around the room. It was mostly empty besides the two near the front and another in the far corner. The squid thing I saw when coming in. Quentin looked where I was, turning back with a fearful look.

"You don't want to talk to Adam," he whispered, "his mutation is Squid. Messed up part of him to feel no sympathy." I watched as Ian pulled Jason closer. Quentin shut up when Ty got back, rambling about how he got extra food by hypnotizing them. I allowed it to become background noise, thinking about what my mutation could be.

Hmmmm... Thoughts?
