Life in foster care is not something to boast about.

THE TEARS WE DON'T CRY is a story that follows 5 girls in a group/foster home. Some have a family waiting for them, others are not as lucky. They are all different, but you'd never see them apart.

Myrtle; the front girl and mother-hen. She's been in foster care most of her life and always takes the new kids under her wing. Between her and Honey, they protect their group of friends. Myrtle is constantly teased by Maddox, the notorious "bad boy" of the home. But once upon a time, they'd been good friends.

Honey; the co-captain.  She's the classy one of the bunch and is VERY protective of her younger sisters. Even though she doesn't need to, she does worry about being separated from them.

Michelle and (Steph)Hanie; the twins. Younger sisters of Honey, they bring the party.

Andrea; the quiet one. She's shy and usually hangs back. Besides Mateo, she's the only Latin foster kid in the home.

AUTHOR'S NOTE: This story will not be dark, but I must warn you as a girl who was in foster care more than once. It's not pretty. The characters are based off me and my four besties/sisters Andrea, Honey, Michelle and (Step)Hanie. Please wipe off all negativity at the door.
