Think about your name!

Most medicine cats have soft sounding names, related to plants or nature. It even works for toms, if you can get it to sound right.

For example: Leafpool, Cloudspots, Featherwhisker, and so on. 

Here's a few prefixes and suffixes, with their meanings, to give you ideas.

* Means more suited for toms
° Means more suited for she cats
• Means suited for both genders

PREFIXES

•Leaf - Not associated with pelt. May be for personality, normally sweet and caring.

°Fern - Could be a grey-ish green pelt. Normally a soft personality, depends on suffix.

°Feather - A wavy tail, and soft, usually silver pelt comes with this name. It's also a caring personality.

*Bark - Could be a dark brown pelt, usually tabby stripes. Personality depends on suffix.

*Cloud - almost always a white pelt, or grey and white. Personality doesn't really have anything to do with it.

°Echo - Most likely a grey or silver pelt.

°Fawn - normally a soft, gentle personality, like that of a young deer. Also a pale brown pelt is common for this name.

°Willow - Commonly a silver pelt.

•Kestrel - A dark brown pelt is normally matched with this name.

•Sage - Has no links to pelt, really. It could be a pale pelt, or based on a caring personality and less interest in warrior duties, signifying a want to be a medicine cat.

*Red - Used as either a warrior or medicine cat name. Linked solely to pelt.

°Moth - normally a soft, sweet personality, like the fluttering of moth's wings.

SUFFIXES

~leaf - It's a common medicine cat suffix, as it's associated with their role in gathering and organizing and giving herbs.

~heart - Given to show a cats compassion, perfect for medicine cats.

~pool - Mostly given to cats with a soft and calm composure.

~song - Similar to pool, but with a wider range of usage. It could be just about the prefix.

~fern - Used as it is a part of nature, connecting to medicine cats.

~whisker - a normal suffix, but reoccurring in the Warriors books.

~feather - Like the prefix version, it's a soft name, used as a reflection of personality.

~branch - Used as it is a part of nature, connecting to medicine cats.

There are a few medicine cat names. Please remember this is not all there is, and you could use any prefix or suffix. This is just to give you an idea of the more common ones and what they usually represent in medicine cats.
