Lucas woke up because of the ringing of his phone.

It was the time of dawn. The birds were chirping. The wind was blowing slowly. It was a very pleasant Sunday morning.

"Hello?" He answered sleepily.

"It's me! Shirley! I think I know something about Mary and Noah."

"What?" Suddenly Lucas became attentive.

"Yeah. Come to the library today."

"Ok. But at what time?"

"Come to my house at 12 PM. Then we will go together."

"Ok." Lucas hung up the phone.

He tried to sleep again but wasn't able to. He looked at the watch. It was 6 AM. He reluctantly got up and went to the bathroom to get ready.

What if she came to know that Mary and Noah are vampires? It will be a problem for me, they will reveal my identity too!

Thoughts began to spur In Lucas’s mind, he was brushing his teeth before he began to put away his thoughts and hop in the bath.

He got ready in forty-five minutes and went downstairs to have breakfast. He made an omelette and sat on the couch. He started the TV and stared at the screen blankly.

"There are many attacks recently. No one can confirm what is causing it but we suspect the wild animals." The lady on the news channel said.

Immediately, Luca's attention went towards the screen.

"Some people even say that these are not the work of animals. It is something else." She continued. "A person, who's neighbour's house was attacked claimed that he saw the shadow of some people running out of the house on the night of the attack."

Oh no. These people are close. And there are many vampires in the town now. If we don't stop Mary and Noah soon, all the town will be converted. Lucas thought.

Lucas was snapped from his thoughts. His phone was ringing. He took out the phone from his pocket and stood up abruptly. He wasn't able to keep a track of time with all the thinking and watching the news.

"Where are you? It's already 11:30! Come here soon!" Shirley yelled from the other side of the line.

"Right, I’m on my way!" Lucas said before ending the call, he took out his keys from the drawer and headed out, he locked the door and ran toward his car before starting it, He drove as fast as he could and reached Shirley’s house in mere 15 minutes when it would nearly take 20 to get there.

Shirley was standing in the front yard. She hurried to Lucas's car and seated on the passenger's seat.

She was holding a paper in hand. Lucas glanced at it when the teenage girl sat next to him. His eyes enlarged when he realized what was written on the small piece of paper.
