Shirley's phone vibrated. "Must be mom. I forget to tell her that I am staying here," Shirley said while having dinner with the rest of the people.

It was a message from an unknown number.

So you think you all will be able to stop us?

Shirley gasped. She tapped him on his shoulder. When he turned around, she showed him the message.

What do you mean? Lucas typed.

We will convert you all very very soon. The reply came.

Let's see. Lucas replied.

"Guys, they know about our plan. Someone has leaked our details to them." Lucas said, seriously.

"Who would do that?" a woman asked.

"Or it is also possible that they have included one of them with us?" Shirley said.

"I don't think it is possible because if there was a vampire amongst us then I would have smelled him." Lucas denied.

"Let's do something, we will collect everyone's phones and no one is allowed to go outside now!" The officer said.

"Sounds good, " Shirley agreed.

Lucas and the officer collected everyone phone and locked the doors of the house so that no one will be able to leave.

"Lucas, I think they are up to something. The message doesn't seem right." Shirley said after the beds were laid down and everyone was about to sleep.

"Yeah me too. That's why I and the officer are going to keep a watch. We are not sleeping, " Lucas said.

"Ohh! I'll also help. I can't sleep anyways."

"No, I think it's a bad idea. You will need some sleep for tomorrow's big night." Lucas argued.

"But I won't let you do this alone," Shirley cried.

"Alright. There is no sense of fighting with you. You will not listen to me anyway."

"Thank you!"

Soon, all the people fell asleep. Lucas, Shirley and the officer were roaming around the house, making sure everything was fine.

The wind was blowing very fast. The sound of insects was the only thing audible in the pin-drop silence of the night

Suddenly, a glass broke somewhere. All the people woke up because of the sound. Lucas and the officer came running towards Shirley. Lucas said breathlessly " you stay here with the people. We will go and check."

They went towards the first floor. The wood creaked beneath their feet as they climbed the stairs.

"Ahhhh" suddenly, someone yelled from the room in which all the people were sleeping.

Lucas and the officer came running downstairs and yelled "it was just a stone. They tricked us!"
