Shirley followed Lucas and the officer to the Source of the scream. Everyone was awake in the room, their eyes wide with astonishment.

"What happened?" Lucas asked.

"We don't know. Someone screamed outside the window, " a woman replied.

"I'll go and check. All of you stay together. I'll be right back. If you hear any noise then immediately bring the garlic from the kitchen to be safe, " Lucas said.

"I'll come with you, " the officer said and Lucas nodded.

Lucas switched on the tube light of the yard and the officer made his gun ready. He unlocked the door and went outside.

It was really dark and creepy outside. The streetlights we're not on an owl's hooting was hearable. They looked aground but no one was visible. They stepped on the lawn and went towards the backyard.

After a few minutes, a loud, piercing scream startled everyone.

They all rushed outside and to their horror, the officer was lying on the grass and his neck was bleeding.

"He betrayed us! He attacked me!!" The officer yelled while he was struggling with pain.

"What? It's not possible!" Shirley cried.

She made the officer sit by supporting His back. The other people made him get up and took him inside.

They laid him on the bed and placed an ice bag on his neck to stop the burning.

"I'll never forgive him. He broke my trust, " Shirley sobbed.

"None of us expected this, " the officer replied weakly.

"Where is her right now, " Shirley asked.

"He ran away after biting me."

"He will not come back today. It's almost morning now. We will prepare for tomorrow's night. I'll stop them no matter what happens. I'll kill them!" Shirley said, determined. "Officer, you should rest now. We all are awake anyway. We will keep a watch now."

She went to the kitchen and brought all the garlic outside and placed it on the centre table.

"Guys I have a plan. For this, you all have to help me, " She said.

Everyone gathered around her and she explained her strategy.

"Wow, this is really a good plan!" Everyone agreed.

"We just have to keep all our weapons safely. And I can't take all of you to the place. It's really dangerous and I can't risk your lives. Just ten people will come with me. The rest will stay here."
