*Knock Knock*

Mary opened the door. She was staring at Lucas who was standing on the doorsteps of Mary and Noah's house. The sun was about to rise. It was was a pleasant morning.

"So are you now sure that I am in your team?" Lucas asked.

"Yeah. My spy reported everything. But why did you act like you were against me from the beginning?" Mary asked.

"It's because I wanted to mislead Shirley. She was suspicious of you from the starting. So I thought that I'll act as if I am with her and then convert her too but I was not able to do so but I converted the officer."

"Alright come inside." Mary let him in.

"So Mary, tell me why are you doing this?" Lucas asked when they settled down in the living room on the couch. Many people were present in the house, all busy with their work.

"So when we lived in the north, our town was very open-minded. They were ok with the fact that vampires lived with them. Everyone lived with peace and we only fed on the animals which were specially reared for us. One day, our town was attacked by some traveller vampires. They thought that it was done by the vampires who lived within the town. So, normal people grew against us and started killing us. Most of our people were killed including my family and my boyfriend whom I loved with all my heart. So I decided that I'll take revenge and convert all the people present in this world, " Mary explained.

"Oh, I see. Your reason is genuine but is taking revenge by converting innocent people is right?" Lucas questioned.

"Are you on my side or not?" Mary squinted her eyes.

"Of course I am on your side! And I also wondered who converted Noah?"

"Well, please don't tell this to him. On that night, I was really starving. I can't find any animal to quench my thirst. As soon as I saw Noah, alone, I lost all control and attacked him. I converted him." Mary confessed.

"Ohh! I already thought so!" Lucas exclaimed.

"Anyways, why are you doing this?" Mary inquired.

"You know that when I was converted, my parents abandoned me. Since then I am living alone and sometimes with foster parents. And besides, we are considered as dark creatures. That's why I am converting humans."

"Fair enough." Mary nodded.

"So now what is your plan?"

"As you know, tonight is the Blue Moon night, so we all will attack the rest of the humans and convert them. This will complete my phase one. Then slowly, the whole human race will be converted.

"Ohh. It's a long term plan then."

"Yup! And I don't have any rush. I just want to accomplish my mission."

"I would love to be a part of this, " Lucas exclaimed.

"Hey, Lucas!" Percy greeted as he came into the living room. Jessica was behind him. "What brings you here?"

"Now I am one of you!" Lucas smiled.

"Oh!" Jessica said without interest. She was disappointed.

"Mary, can I have a coffee?" Lucas asked.

"Sure!" Mary said, getting up. She headed towards the kitchen. Lucas followed her.

"Where is Noah?" Lucas asked.

"He went on the hunt. He will be back soon since it's almost morning. I wonder what took him so long?"

"Ok. Please make dark coffee for me."

"Sure thing!"

Mary took out the mugs from one of the cabinets. She poured some milk and put it up on the stove to heat it up. Her back was facing Lucas.

"Um Mary, " Lucas tapped Mary's shoulder.

As soon as she turned around, Lucas stabbed Mary with the wooden dagger on her heart. She made a gasping sound and turned into ashes.
