"Ok listen to me, throw the garlic away first. Then I'll tell you why to believe me, " Lucas said. Shirley kept the garlic inside and came back outside. She still stood away from the vampires.

"First of all, I did not convert the officer. It was just my plan. And the officer knew it. We faked it because we knew that Mary has sent some spies who were constantly watching us. And I also knew that it was not possible to kill her with all these vampires on her side. So I told the officer my plan and we tricked you all. It was not blood. It was just red paint on his neck. And then, I knew that Mary would trust me now. So I took the spare dagger which I had and went over her house. She did believe me and let me in. I grabbed a perfect opportunity and stabbed her in her heart and she died."

"Are you telling me the truth?" Shirley questioned.

"Yes, he is telling the truth. Let me prove that I am not converted, " the officer went inside and brought the garlic. He held the pieces in his hands for too long to make Shirley believe him. "And I stayed in the backyard all the time just to make you believe that I am also converted and I can't bear the smell of garlic that you placed all around the house.

"Oh, Lucas!" She ran and hugged him and began to sob. "I am so happy to have my friends back!"

Jessica and Percy joined them too.

"Can I join?" Noah asked timidly.

"Of course you dumbo!" Shirley laughed and included Noah in their group hug.

"Now tell me, Shirley, what were you doing with all this garlic?" Lucas asked her when they broke apart from their hug.

"I was still afraid that you will bring your vampire's army and attack us. So I just made some preventive measures. And I was also thinking to attack you by some means but I was not able to think of any plan." Shirley told everyone.

"Oh, Shirley! I am so sorry that you had to go through so much!" Lucas apologised.

"It's ok bro! I am just happy that all this mess is over after all!" Shirley laughed.

"So what shall we do now? Many people are converted and many know that vampires are real."

"We have to keep this a secret. Because after what happened with Mary and which lead her to do all this, we can't risk it again," Noah said.

"I totally agree with you" Lucas nodded.

"Wait, what happened with Mary? Tell me please!" Shirley begged.

"Not again!" Lucas whined and Jessica, Percy and Noah burst into laugher.

"Um and Noah, I want to tell you something. I know that I was not supposed to tell this to you but you have a right to know the truth, " Lucas said after he finished his explanation to Shirley. "You were converted by Mary."

"Oh!" Noah fell silent. He did not spoke anything for some time. Then he finally looked up and said, "if we all are telling the secrets than I want to tell you that Mary was not my sister. We just acted like this to formulate our plan."

"We already know this!" The others replied and went inside the house to tell this news to all the people.

"Anyone interested to have a cup of coffee?" Shirley asked them the next day after school was over.

"Shirley!!!" They all yelled.

"Oh I am sorry, I forgot that you can't eat anything now!" Shirley teased.
