"Why do we have to go to the party?" Noah winced.

"If we won't go to the party then we won't be able to win all of their trust. We have to do this so that our plan succeedds, " Mary said, who was getting ready for the party they had no choice but to attend.

"You mean yours" Noah said under his breath.

Noah and Mary lived in a beautiful house. It was situated far from the main town and in the forest, where no one ever comes. Even the sunlight does not reach it.

"But I don't understand this. We are unable to read their minds. We can read every other soul's but what makes them different?" Noah asked.

"I also don't know about this. And we were so lucky that today the sun was not up, or we could not be able to attend the PE period, " Mary said.

"But what if we are not able to leave the party before midnight and we are not able to control ourselves?" Noah asked.

"That's my biggest concern. I will control myself somehow but you can't. You are new in all this and it will take you some time. And besides, we can't attack them. They are our so-called friends and if we do so, our plan will go wrong, " Mary said.

Noah sighed.

As soon as Mary got ready, they sat in their car and drove to the address that Jessica had texted.

Jessica's house was a little far away but with the car that Mary owned, they reached in half the time.

She lived in a big mansion covered by beautiful flowers. There were many other big mansions surrounding it. She definitely lived in a prosperous colony.

Mary and Noah parked the car and entered the house. The music boomed loud in there ears and when they saw almost the whole grade was present at the party they realized that was where all the screaming kids came from. It was Definitely going to be an interesting night.

"Hey, Mary! Sup! Noah!" Jessica greeted them as soon as she spotted.

She was wearing a black cocktail dress. She was looking so beautiful that Noah kept staring her until the other came.

Lucas shook Noah and Mary's hand while Shirley and Percy stood behind, scared as if Noah will attack at any moment.

They all took some drinks from the counter and went over the couches and settled down.

"So tell us about both of you, " Jessica said.

"Well, we came to this town because our parents died. We were not able to stay at our old house because their memories kept making us nostalgic. We had enough money to afford the school fees and we already had a house here , " Mary said, with no regret in her voice.

"That is so sad!" Lucas said and Jessica nodded.

"They are lying. If they were telling the truth then they must be crying by now, " Shirley whispered in Percy's ear. He nodded. But unfortunately, Noah noticed. Shirley immediately fell silent. She was scared of him.

They kept talking when suddenly Mary said "omg! It's 11:45! We both have to leave. I am so sorry!" She said getting up. Noah followed her.

"But can't you stay? Please for a little more time?" Jessica pleaded.

"Jess, we came here after you invited us. So I really think that you should agree to us this time?" Noah said.

"Yeah alright. We are so glad that you both could make it here, " Lucas smiled.

And then, Noah and Mary hurried out.
