Karenumati was massaging Shrutakirti's foot!

"Your foot have swollen a lot, Bhabhi, u aren't taking care of yourself." Renu commented.

"I'm telling you, this child of mine is very notorious, do you remember when I was expecting Paridhya, I didn't feel any pain, it was just so normal, but this baby... " she caressed her baby bump and continued, " ...is making me taste the real medicine i.e. pregnancy, you also had a lot of swelling isn't it? "

"I did have, I still remember, arya running behind me with that ointment.." she stopped for a while, dreamily continued, "...to apply it on my foot and I always denied his requests! " she chuckled and soon started to sob.

The days which she spent with Nakula were few but were very special to her, she tried her best to not break, but it was becoming difficult for her to hold. It wasn't like, she never lived away from him, but what was scaring her the most was the result of this penance- the war!!

She never doubted her husband's or her in law's skill in warfare, but she knew that very well that war could only bring destruction, the after effects of it are even more cruel!!
Shrutakirti kept a loving hand on Karenumati's shoulder.

"Don't cry my super girl! " said Shrutakirti and wiped her tears, embraced her sister in law which was now like her daughter.

When she got married to Dhristaketu, she never thought she would love Renu this much, from being strangers to forming an eternal bond they came a long way, she tried her best to fill the void of a mother in Renu's life!!

She hugged Shrutakirti back, the woman who in no time became an inseparable part of her world.
"You must sleep now!" Renu said, while breaking the hug.

She corrected the pillows and made her lie down carefully!!! She head out of the chamber.

"Mata! " Niramitra called out and ran towards her.

"Rajkumari, I mean Renu.. " said Nakula while moving towards her.

"I've got something for you!!" said he while giving her a blue lotus.

"For you... "said he, hesitating a bit, "..this blue lotus reminded me of you!!"

She caressesd his face, and planted a kiss on them.

She took the flower, and they continued to walk.

They sat out for a venture in the jungles of Suktimati.

"Wohoo! " exclaimed Nakula, "I've never seen so many blue lotuses together it's just breath taking! " said he and then looked towards Renu, who intently looked at the flowers, he felt as if she's one them, one of those beautiful and rare flowers whom he want to cherish his whole life, her beauty outshined those flowers!!

The flowers bloomed even more, as if competing with someone showing someone that they are the prettiest, but there she stood, whose complexion couldn't be matched by any of those blue lotuses, her eyes glittering as if sunlight fell on the dew drops, her lips were carved imperfectly yet giving her a perfect, heart melting smile. His gaze couldn't leave her, there were thousands of blue lotuses present but she was his favourite!!

They moved near the lake. He sat down and  touched the petals of the flower, they were very delicate but not more than the hand he held last night. She sat near him, just looking at the flowers. His eyes explored her face thousands of time, his gaze refusing to leave her face,  and her gaze didn't even spare a glance at him, as if they were scared to meet his black orbes, which seemed quite mysterious to her.

This didn't go unnoticed by Drishtaketu and Krishna, who observered them from a distance.

The sun was about to set, this was the time to go home, none of them(Rekul) wanted to leave!!

She moved towards her horse, and he sat there still pondering onto something.

"Rajkumari, I mean Renu.. " said Nakula while moving towards her.
For you... "said he, hesitating a bit, "..this blue lotus reminded me of you!!" he gave her the lotus.

She took it from him and they continued to walk. She again and again looked at his handsome face, which sparkled as the setting sun laid his rays on him. A smile adorned his face as he continued to walk.

She felt special, her hands craved to hold his. They involuntarily moved closer to each other. She entangled her fingers in his, the smile on his face became wider!

Their hearts for the first time beated together on the tune of the setting sun, few stars started to tinkle in the sky. The sky was by now of the colour red, which complimented the colour of their cheeks. He made a promise to his heart to never leave this hand of hers!!!!!

"Done! " said Niramitra while looking at Karenumati through the mirror.
She looked at herself in the mirror, Mitra had tucked the blue lotus which he brought in her hairs.

"You've done a really good job, it looks nice!" she appreciated his efforts.

"Thank you!! And you look really very pretty!" he kissed her cheeks. Mitra was her heart, she couldn't imagine her life without him, he was the token of their love, which was misunderstood by many, some called it a political alliance, some called it lust, but the truth was only known by the two hearts!!

Niramitra picked up the kohl and marked a dot near her ear.
"May god save you from all the bad luck Ma!!"
She embraced him.

"Sorry I entered at the wrong time!" said Dhristaketu while looking at the duo.

"Bhaiya, come na.. " Renu insisted.

"Oh, I think I'm late,you already got it.. " he pouted while pointing at the blue lotus tucked in her hair.

"No problem I'll still give this to you! " said he. He sat on his knees, forwarded the flower towards her,

"To the lady, who has made my life hell, who made me realise how a real chudail (witch)  looks like.. My one and only chudail.. "

"Thanks for the compliment bhai! "
They laughed.
