They got to the edge of the developer camp, seeing people with large cutting tools.

"Alright boys, you know the drill. We clear this area and begin construction." The boss said to the group.

"What about the rumor of this crazy jungle man and his army of animals?" One of them asked.

"A stupid rumor from those stupid activists."

The man soon felt the ground rumble as they all looked around to see where it was coming from.

"What is that?" A woman asked.

"I don't know."

The rumbling was slowly becoming bigger and bigger as they all turned east, where the main direction of it was coming from, as a horde of random animals came charging out of the tree line!

"What the hell!?"

"It's a stampede!" One man shouted.

"What the hell are all they doing together?!" One man asked before seeing something. "And there's people with them too?!"

"I told you there was a person!"

"But not three!" The person said before Nathan jumped off the tiger he was riding!

"YAAAAAAH!" He screamed like a primal beast!

"Amity, drop me off." Luz said.

Amity nodded to Luz, both dawning plant cloaks she made to hide their faces. Luz was dropped down and had a flock of parrots with her.

"What do you need, cub of master?" The parrots asked her.

"Distract them. Fly around and peck at them to make them drop their equipment!" Luz ordered them.

"On it!"

The flock flew towards the workers and began flying/pecking at them as they tried to wave them away. Amity flew over and smiled as she quickly grabbed her staff and raised it.

"Time to see what we can really do." Amity said as Ghost's eyes glow brightly. "Let 'em have it, Ghost!"

'With pleasure, mother!' Ghost thought.

Ghost looked deep inside Amity, connecting to the seed, and released a powerful plant spell that caused several trees to grow and use the branches to grab the developers.

"What the fuck?!" One shouted as he was grabbed!

"Who is this?!" Another asked before their tool was taken and destroyed.

"Someone you don't want to be on the bad side of." Amity said.

The animals passing her were in awe of Amity's power, seeing it as if she was the goddess of nature itself!

"Master's cub's mate, she is Mother Nature!" One animal said in awe.

Amity spun her staff and swung it at the developers, hitting each of them in the head and knocking them out.

"Fuck! What are you waiting for?! Fight back!" The boss said as he was using his tool for hold off the animals!

"No." Nathan said, walking up to the boss, "This land is sacred, it is home to countless species."

"They can find new land! They have nature reserves for a reason!" The boss replied.

"They should not have to find a new home because you wish to destroy their home!" Nathan said.

Nathan charged at the boss, ducking an attack before circling around and kicked the boss to the ground. Nathan grabbed him by the back of the neck and put him in a choke hold.

"Huh!" The boss grunted as he felt his air being cut off.

"Do you know how many animals you've killed because of your destruction? How many that lost their homes because of developers like you?!" Nathan whispered in anger.

Luz took a step back. She's never seen her dad this serious before.

"I....I work for supply and demand! Don't.....blame me if some animals....are pushed away in the name of progress." The boss grunted, struggling to get out of the choke hold.

Nathan let go of him and threw a punch at his jaw, sending him to the ground.

"If I see you here again, you won't be walking away... this is your only warning." Nathan said

"Grrrr! Fucking monster." The boss said, getting up and holding his broken nose.

"You call me a monster but you're worse than I am." Nathan said with a glare.

A few jaguars growled at the boss, just waiting on the word from their Master.

"Make your choice." Nathan reminded him, glaring at the man all the way.

"Hmmm, fine." The boss said with a grumble before taking a breath. "Call off your army and I'll give the word to the workers."

"Stand down." Nathan told the big cats.

The boss stood up and took a deep breath.

"Men! Stand down! Stand down now!" He shouted at them all, making his workers stop fighting as well as the animals. "Pack up everything, we're leaving!"

Nathan snapped his fingers and the animals returned to the woods.

"Tell others what you e seen here and to never return or else there WILL be bloodshed." Nathan said with a glare.

"Fine, I'll tell them.....monkey man." The boss said with a glare back, picking up his tool and leaving.

Nathan retreated back to the woods. Luz and Amity, after releasing the workers from the vines, followed him while also covering their tracks with growing trees.

"Alright, it's time to rest." Nathan said, "They'll be back... they always come back."

"How long exactly?" Luz asked her father.

"Don't know."

"But, it should be enough for us to deal with any injuries anyone has." Nathan said, looking over the "troops."

"We'll help any way we can." Amity said as Ghost turned back to normal, standing on her shoulder.

"Luz, you better keep this girl, she's got a kind heart."

'Kind isn't the word I'd use to describe my heart.' Amity thought.

"I know but don't you have any questions about, you know?" Luz asked, gesturing to Ghost.

"I can assume that cat is magic of some sort. As well as your fiancé." Nathan said, rubbing his chin.

"You're not wrong." Amity said.

"Is she truly magic?" A chimp asked, swinging to Amity.

"I saw it myself, it was like Gaia herself was helping us." A toucan said.

"Well, I wouldn't call her "Gaia" but she is a special lady." Luz said with a smile.

Amity pushed Luz off a bit.

"You're still not going to join the mile high club." Amity said.

Luz turned to Amity with a small smirk.

"Now who's got her mind in the gutters?" Luz asked.

"Still you."

"Hehehehehehe." Luz chuckled as she held Amity and kissed her cheek. "That's just one of the things you love about me."

"Damn right."

Nathan smiled at this but was also sad as well. Thinking of his ex-wife and how she must've felt when he didn't return. Not to mention wondering who this new husband or wife was treating her.

'As long as you're happy, Camila.' He thought.

That was all he ever cared about.
