Amethyst stood by the door of an empty History classroom. Staring at the storage room. Unbeknownst to everyone, Amethyst had actually been listening in on what they were saying.
Eli's words in particular made her feel something she didn't know she could. She wasn't surprised that it was Eli who made her feel this way though. He was different from Stanley, Darius and Maxon. Or atleast, that's what Amethyst believed.
As everyone left, Amethyst continued to stare at the storage room door. A door was the only thing protecting Isaac right now. Her leg moved ever so slightly, showing her hesitation. With a sigh, Amethyst made her way to the door. "Listen up, Mop. We've got a show to work on so you better buck up your ideas."
"Can you leave me alone for a day? Please?", begged Isaac.
Amethyst frowned. "Look. We all go through sh*t. You're no one special."
"Gee thanks", he replied, sarcastically.
"Those idiots sacrificed rehearsal time for you. You're a lot of things Isaac Horowitz but I didn't have you down as selfish."
After a long pause, Amethyst could hear shuffling. "You know my last name?"
Ok. Not the breakthrough Amethyst was hoping for but that's fine.
"Yes. Kind of hard to spend so much time with someone and not know their surname", replied Amethyst.
"Yeah but... you didn't have to use it. Amethyst, why are you even here? You hate us."
She was momentarily stunned. Sure, she didn't like her club members but hate... that was a bold word. "Mop- Isaac, we aren't all like your friend Little Miss Sunshine, ok? Some of us have actual sh*t to deal with. So forgive me if I'm not always happy and jumping for joy whenever I see you guys. Let's not forget that I didn't even want to join the club."
"Leonie's got bulímia, Amethyst! Camryn was recruited by some gang leader, Eli's been in hospital more times then my sister has. Oh, and on the subject of my sister, she's dying of cancer. We've all got sh*t to deal with", said Isaac.
Amethyst paused for a moment. "You don't know my life. I've got heavy sh*t to deal with. Trust me."
"Trust you? That's rich coming from someone who still doesn't trust us", said Isaac. "I only ever wanted to be your friend."
"You don't want to be friends with people like me. You want to be friends with people like Leonie and Kennedy. Or people with so little self esteem that you're a God in comparison. Like Camryn. I'll be objective. I care about making this show somewhat presentable. So get your a** off out of the storage room and come back."
Weirdly, Amethyst's harsh words seemed to work on the boy. She didn't have to say those things to him. There was no obligation at all.
"Eden Murphy made fun of my sexuality", admitted Isaac. "Then he picked on me for being in the Theatre Club. Then he called me a weirdo and a loser. Then he... he forced my head in the...", he continued, letting his words trail off as he began to re-live events.
Amethyst's face softened. She knew Eden. Typical bully. Except, he was dealing with a lot too. He's been a closeted homosexual for 5 years now. All that pent up anger and aggression he releases? That's aimed at himself. They call it psychological projection.
"That sucks. I know his type though. Give it a week and he'll stop", said Amethyst. In truth, she knew he wouldn't. But she'd make him.
"I don't believe that", said Isaac. "But thanks for trying. You didn't have to stay here... but you did."
"Yeah well... I didn't do it for you, did I? I just did it so we can get rehearsal over and done with", lied Amethyst.
The door opened, revealing a tear stained Isaac with a goofy grin on his face. "Sure, Amethyst. Sure."
Amethyst rolled her eyes, but a small smile appeared on her face. "Come on, Mop."
When Amethyst and Isaac arrived, they were shocked to find everyone sat in a circle, eating pizza. "What the héll?"
Isaac just smiled back at all the happy faces staring at him. His eyes lingered longer on Eli's face.
"Stanley filled me in", said Miss Laine. "So I think today... we'll take this time to just hang out, ok? After we've eaten, we'll go shopping for some bits and bobs to add to our costumes."
Amethyst's face lit up. "YES!"
Everyone laughed and Amethyst couldn't help but smile. Isaac sat down beside Camryn and Leonie.
Kennedy had done research into e*ting d*sorders, and learned that distracting someone whilst they eat can help take the pressure off them as they aren't only focusing on what they're eating.
Leonie only placed one slice of pizza on her plate, but she managed to eat almost half, which was a big step for her.
Amethyst remained standing, unsure of where to sit. "There's a space here", said Eli, patting an empty space next to him. Amethyst sat down next to him, her eyebrows raising in surprise when he held out a plate with pizza on it. "I saved some for you."
Amethyst gave him a small smile. "Thanks, Eli."

In all honesty, I lost inspiration for this but I've been re-reading stuff and I just really want you all to see the things I planned! Things are going to be quite hectic soon so I can't promise consistent updates, but I hope to get Book 1 done soon so it aligns with the break I'll have to have soon due to personal reasons regarding my education.
Please answer honestly, is anyone still excited for this? I won't be mad! I'll most likely still continue it because I've planned it all and have a special announcement soon (might not be a good thing if people have lost interest).
Amethyst and Eli have a really good bond, despite them not hanging out as much.
Can we all take a moment to hug Isaac please?
Distracting someone who has an e.d whilst they eat is actually advice given in the BEAT website. So a meal with close friends can really help. Be sure not to push them though, as some people could be self conscious to eat in public.
