Maxon tugged at Stanley's arm. "Stanley! Put the pizza down, we gotta go!"

Stanley raised his index finger in the air, before shoving the remaining piece of pizza in his mouth. "Mmgm!"

Maxon rolled his eyes and dragged him away. This shopping trip was going to be intense, so Maxon needed all the support he could get. "I'm sticking to you like glue. I hate shopping."

-

Leonie walked up to Kennedy. "Do you need anything from town? My Mum said she's there so if you need anything she'll get it. We won't have enough time to shop for our own things."

Kennedy shook her head. "No, I'm good." Her eyes lingered on Maxon, the boy she desperately needed to talk to. "Maxon!"

Maxon looked at her, uncharacteristically nervous. He was about to walk up to her, when the bus came. He sighed and got onto the bus, glancing back at Kennedy.

-

Amethyst rushed over to a purple satin dress, her eyes bright. "Ok we have to get these for the show! All the girls could wear them for one of the dance numbers."

Happy to see Amethyst so excited, Miss Laine enthusiastically looked at the price tag, her heart dropping when she saw it. "Honey... it's £500."

"What? Our budget can't stretch to that?", asked Amethyst.

Miss Laine shook her head. "I'm afraid not. Maybe we can find something similar, that's cheaper?"

Amethyst rolled her eyes. "This is gonna suck."

"Miss Laine, can I go and get a bottle of water? The shop's not too far", asked a bored Maxon.

Miss Laine nodded. "Hurry back. And take someone with you!"

"I'll go!", exclaimed Kennedy.

-

Isaac was most definitely lost. He was still in the same shop, but he had wandered away from the group, in an effort to find something nice for Eli.

He felt his airway restrict as he frantically looked around for his group. He knew what it felt like to be lost. Having to float around in his family as the boy who had to be great at life. After all, he was given the chance over his sister. Right?

But now it was different. For the first time, Isaac realised just how safe he felt with the Theatre Club. He realised that they cared about him. He might not have achieved greatness by someone else's standard, but he achieved it by his.

He found true friends. All on his own.

"Isaac! What are you doing here?", asked Eli, pointing to the collection of lingerie around him.

"Eli!", exclaimed Isaac. "I was looking for something for you."

"In the lingerie section?", questioned Eli.

Isaac's face turned a bright red. "N-No! Sorry, I-I got lost."

"Well, thank you Isaac. But I don't need a gift. What is it for anyway?"

"To thank you for being there for me."

Eli shook his head, a smile on his face. "You don't need to get me a present Isaac, I know you're grateful. And I don't look out for who with the expectation that you'll give me something in return."

After a long pause, a nervous Isaac rambled a response. "C-Can I please give you a hug please?"

Eli grinned, his eyes lighting up. He opened up his arms and Isaac hugged him tightly.

-

Water bottle and sandwich in tow, Maxon and Kennedy left the shop. "Maxon, we need to talk."

Maxon stopped dead in his tracks, his heart dropping at the sound of Kennedy's serious tone. "Y-Yes."

Kennedy took a deep breath before speaking. "I...I said I love you because I felt like I had to. I was losing everyone and I just... I really wanted to hold on to you. But I don't love you. Not yet. I really, really like you though."

Maxon exhaled sharply, a weight being lifted off his shoulders. He put the sandwich and water bottle on the shop ledge, before gently grabbing Kennedy's arms and placing his hands in hers. "I'm so sorry you went through that alone. I should've been more supportive. Kens, I really like you. It takes me a while to fall for someone but... I've never clicked with anyone like I do with you. I don't wanna sound cheesy but... I want to be with you for as long as you'll have me."

Kennedy stared at Maxon, finding his nervousness adorable. She wrapped her arms loosely around his neck and kissed his lips.

-
Weronika and Meredith were trying on different outfits, the sound of their laughter filling Amethyst's ears.

Noticing her sadness, Eli put a top hat on and sauntered over to Amethyst. "What do you think of my hat? Does it scream 'Charlie'? I think it does!"

Amethyst laughed, surprising herself. "It screams 'Charlie Chaplin', not a teen drummer in a high school band."

Eli laughed. "Touché."

-

A quiet rustling of paper, followed by a louder thud startled Maxon and Kennedy. They rushed into the alley nearby to see if someone needed help.

Kennedy gasped. "Oh my God!"

Maxon's eyes widened when he saw a very pale body lying on the ground. "Darius!"

-

Hi. I'm sorry for the long wait! The next chapter will be quite upsetting, and will focus on Darius' time away from the group.

Isaac and Eli are just precious! Isaac's minor storyline with Eden was added recently, because one of Isaac's main things is that he struggled to make friends. Now, Isaac's realised that these people want to be friends with HIM, and all he had to do was be himself.

Eli has been here for so many people! Eli could give Amethyst the friendship she needs.

Kennedy and Maxon are the cutest! They just seem to be going from strength to strength? Do you think they'll last?

What are your thoughts on this chapter?
