Third Person POV 

Ruby slowly woke up from her slumber and saw that everyone was still asleep. Not wanting to be in the cramped area with the others, Ruby went outside as she dust herself off. As she stood outside, she saw the sun slowly rising as the the light ran across the sea. 

Ruby: Wow. It's so beautiful. 
She said as she looked at the open sea. 

As she stood there, she heard something fly through the air. Looking up, she saw something silver flying through the air as red like aura came out behind it. As she stood there, the dragon dove into the water and came back out with fish in its mouth. 

Ruby: Wow. So cool. 
She said as she admired the dragon. 

???: She sure is. 

Ruby immediately turns around and sees Y/N standing behind her. 

Ruby: O-Oh. Y-You're awake. 
She said, twiddling with her fingers. 

Y/N: Of course I'm awake. I'll always wake up around this time. 
He told her.

Ruby: F-For what? 

THUD 

Valstrax landed in front of them as it was chewing on its meal. After eating its food, Valstrax slowly knelt down as Y/N got onto its back. 

Ruby: W-W-W-what re you doing? 
She asked Y/N as he and Valstrax looked at her. 

Y/N: I have to go somewhere. Want to come along? 
He asked her. 

Ruby: S-S-Sure. 
She said as she slowly approached Valastrax, who was glaring at her. 

Y/N: It's okay girl. 
He said as he rubbed Valstrax's neck. 

Y/N: Come on red. 
He said as he helped her onto Valstrax's back. 

Ruby: Whoa. This feels weird. 
She said as she sat behind Y/N. 

Y/N: You might want to hold on tight. 
He told her. 

Ruby: Wh-AHHHHH! 
She screamed as Valstrax took off. 

Valstrax soar through the air as Ruby clung onto Y/N's back. As Ruby held onto the protector's back, she slowly opened her eyes and gasped. Gasping at the sight of the island while riding on Valstrax. 

Ruby: Wow. 
She said as she looked at the view. 

Y/N's POV 

I looked at Ruby as she looked at the island. 

"Hmm."
I smiled, seeing her like this. 

Ruby: She is so fast. 
She said as I felt her arms tighten around my chest. 

"That's why she's called the red comet." 

Ruby: So that's what's she called. 
She said as she looked at Valstrax. 

"She reminds me so much of her." 
I said to myself.

Remembering when I first took her on a ride. The first time I took Summer on a ride with Valstrax. 

Flashback 

"Okay. Hold on."  
I told her. 

Summer: What do you mean? 

"Hold on." 

Summer: What do -AHHHH! 
She screamed as Valstrax flew just above the water of the open sea. 

Summer: OH MY GOD! 
She screamed as she clung onto me. 

"I told you to hold on."
I chuckled as Summer held onto me tightly. 

Summer: That wasn't even a warning.
She pouts. 

Flashback Ends 

I was knocked out of my train of thought as I felt Ruby's arms tightening around my chest. 

Ruby: Whoa! What is that!? 
She yelled as she pointed to the place we were passing through. 

"This red. Is the Coral Highlands." 

Valstrax slowly landed us on an open field as we got off. 

Ruby: Is it? 
She asked. 

"No. Valstax needs to rest. Don't you girl?"
I asked as I pat her head. 

Valstrax nodded as she laid her head on the ground. 

Ruby: Oh. 

"Besides. I need to check up on something."
I told her. 

I started walking towards a wall covered with vines and started climbing. 

Ruby: Where are you going? 

"Going up here." 
I told her. 

Ruby ran up to the wall and started climbing with me. It wasn't long til I got to the top but when I looked down, I saw Ruby on the bottom half still. 

"Come on red. We don't have all day." 
I told her. 

Ruby: Coming! 
She yelled. 

THUD 

I turned around and saw her once again. 

"Legiana." 

Legiana: Hello Y/N. 
She said with a smile. 

"It's been a while." 
I said as I brought her into a hug. 

Legiana: Too long. 
She said as she returned the hug. 

Legiana: Human! 
She yelled as she formed a dagger out of ice and charged at Ruby. 

"Wait!" 
I yelled at her. 

Legiana: She's a human! The same species that tried to experiment on Paolumu and Tzitzi-Ya-Ku! 
She yelled at me. 

"I know but stand down." 
I told her. 

Legiana: Fine. 
She said as her daggers dissolved. 

Ruby: W-W-W-Who are you? 
She asked out of fear. 

Legiana: None of your business human. 
She spat at Ruby. 

Ruby looked down as Legiana started walking back to me. 

Legiana: You know. Their nightmares get worse and worse. 
She told me. 

"That's why I need to see them." 
I told her. 

Legiana: Follow me. 
She said as she started walking. 

I followed her as she led me to where Paolumu and Tziitzi-Ya-Ku. We walked through a tunnel and I saw them laying in bed as Paolumu was hugging onto Tzitizi-Ya-Ku tightly. 

Legiana: See what I mean? 
She asked as she rubbed Paolumu's back. 

Paolumu slowly woke up and her eyes widen as she saw me. 

Paolumu: Y-Y-Y/N? 
She asked. 

"Hey. It's me."
I said to her. 

Before I could react, she tackled me into the ground as she was hugging me tightly. 

Paolumu: I-I missed you. 
She said. 

"But you saw me like last week." 
I told her. 

Paolumu: P-P-Please don't let them take me. 
She begged. 

Legiana: What are you doing here. 

I turned around and saw Legiana standing in front of Ruby. 

Ruby: I-I-I just wanted to see. 

Legiana: Humans are not welcome here. 
She spat at Ruby. 

"Legiana. Enough." 

Legiana: No. I'm not going to let another human hurt us! 

"She's Summer's daughter. Do you not remember what Summer did for us." 

Legiana's eyes widen as she looks at Ruby. 

Legiana: Y-You're her daughter? 
She asked out of shock. 

Paolumu: P-P-Please. D-D-Don't let them take me.
She begged as I felt her tears soaking into my shirt. 

"Shh. I'm not going to let them take you. Never."
I said as I hugged her. 

I felt Paolumu bring me into a tighter hug as she continued to sob onto my shoulder. 

"Shh. I'm right here." 
I said as I comforted her. 

Before long, I found her asleep once again. I slowly picked her up and set near Tzitzi-Ya-Ku and covered her up with a blanket. 

"Legiana. Look after them. I need to go to the Rotten Vale." 

Legiana: Well do. 

I walked out of the area with Ruby behind me as she looked down. 

"Don't worry about her, she's just had a bad history." 

Ruby: W-W-W-Why d-d-do you all hate us? 
She asked as she looked at me with tears. 

"You sure you want to know." 

Ruby nodded her head as she looked at me with tears in her eyes. 

"Let me tell you the time of the necromancer." 

"The Wrath Of Gore Magala."
