Camille Astor is the most beloved girl in school.

She could charm anyone just by batting her sparkling brown eyes, sweet words and beautiful smile leaving any boy utterly captivated. She was the girl with the most friends and admirers, showered with presents and gifts from countless boys who wanted to be the lucky one on her arm. And while Camille entertained most of them, she couldn't seem to fall for any of them. Camille wanted so much more. She wanted to be loved and adored and worshipped. She wanted a love that felt as impactful as falling from a ten-story building. But Camille feared she might not get it. After all, none of the boys were remotely interesting long enough for Camille to consider a future with any of them.

Her twin sister, Victoire, thinks that Camille truly puts the hopeless in hopeless romantic. But what did Victoire know?

While Camille was loved, Victoire was hated. It was hard for anyone to believe that the two were related. If it wasn't for the last name and the fact that they shared both blood and facial features, they'd think Camille and Victoire were strangers. Victoire was brutally honest and cruel and she was truly the worst girl in school. She liked to boss others around and had minions to do her dirty work. Mostly boys that Victoire used for what she could get. She didn't believe in true love whatsoever. She only believed in being the best, earning top marks in her classes and earning the title of Head Girl.

But despite their differences, the sisters had a close bond that couldn't be destroyed. That was, until Tom Riddle entered the picture.

Tom Riddle was handsome and clever and the object of desire for many girls at school. While most girls tried to capture his attention, he didn't seem to notice any of them. He focused more on his studies and on being Head Boy after years of being a prefect. His reputation was impeccable and he had a tight knit group of friends (if one could call them that) that were entirely devoted to him. Tom Riddle had a way of captivating most, making them completely fall underneath his spell. And Camille was no exception. 

Camille thought that Tom could be the answer to her prayers. That he was the one for her. Camille wanted him to be hers and the spoiled girl always got whatever and whoever she wanted. She pursues Tom, only to find that he already had his eye on her. He too believed that he deserved the best and after all of his searching, he thought that Camille Astor was the perfect girl for him. She came from a rich and powerful family after all. As long as he had her heart, he'd get all of the power and wealth that came with it. 

It was supposed to be the love story out of Camille's wildest fantasies. It turned out to be something out of a gothic horror tale.

✷ i finally decided to post my tom riddle fic. this is NOT a romance by any means. it's a story of toxicity, self destructive behaviors, and is overall just a major tragedy. camille and tom are both deeply flawed people (tom is WAY worse for obvious reasons) and even though camille will see their relationship as love, it is not. their relationship is not one to be romanticized so do not do the same.
