<The Next Day...>

The coliseum was packed to the brim, and balloons were littering the skies. I was super excited. "At last, It's here! The festival of magic that only comes once a year.... The Grand Magic Games!" The announcer spoke, as cheerleaders cheered. "Just hearing the crowd cheer is making me so excited!!!" I said happily. "I'm not really that excited, to be honest. We win every year." Sting laughed. "The Grand Magic Games are about to begin! I'm Chapati Lola, and I'll be handling the play-by-play while former Council member Mr. Yajima will be providing commentary!" The announcer said. "Good to be here." Mr. Yajima responded. "And our guest for this first day is Ms. Jenny Realite, the member of Blue Pegasus who holds the title of Miss Fiore!" The announcer continued. "We're going to win this year!" The woman, Jenny, said happily. "Now, to introduce the competitors! First up, in 8th place! Can this rowdy bunch with an uncharacteristic name reclaim its former glory?! It's Fairy Tail!" The announcer said, as the crowd booed in response. The announcer kept listing many guilds, until ours came along. Apparently, Fairy tail had entered two teams! "And the first team to clear the preliminary round, the most powerful, most indomitable... And most formidable of all! Sabertooth!!!" The announcer said, as the crowd cheered us on. We all walked into the arena where the other guilds were standing. Sting proudly held a fist in the air, and Rouge just looked around. I waved at the crowd with a grin. "That's them." Natsu said. "Let's have fun, Natsu." Sting said. I spotted Haruka, Fairy Tail's Ice dragon slayer. "Looking forward to the battles." I smirked. Frosch and Lector cheered us on from the crowd. "Those are all the teams that'll be competing!" The announcer finished. "Now then, to unveil the event schedule for the games!" He said, as a giant pillar rose from the ground. "First, the contests have rankings from 1st to 8th. How a team ranks in a contest determines how many points it will earn. Additionally, a team can choose any member to participate in the contest parts. Next are the battle parts! The event organizers have chosen these match ups based on fan surveys! The battle rules are simple! Each team will square off as shown here. The winning teams will earn 10 points, while the losing teams will earn 0. In the case of a draw, both teams will be awarded 5 points. All right! It's now time for the Grand Magic Games' opening game, Hidden, to begin!" The announcer stated. "One member of each team will participate! The game's rules will be explained once all the competitors are ready!" The announcer said. "Who's gonna compete?" I asked. "I shall handle this." Rufus said, stepping forward. The announcer listed the competitors one by one. Today was the official beginning of the games.
