I walk through the forest as I make my way to town, for my monthly paper and ink and if you are wondering I'm a writer under the pen name 'N'. I hug myself to try and stay warm from the cold air, everywhere you look there is snow on the ground and trees. Soon enough I find myself at the towns entrance and start to make my way to the supply store.

As I walk I watch the people passing and see their smiling face, until I come to a sudden stop and see a young girl no older than four or five shivering from the cold. As I look at her I notice she has barely any clothes on, only a bag like dress and no shoes, I make my way over to the girl and bend down to her height and wait for her to look up at me.

I watch as she lifts her head and she looks at me then backs away, I smile trying to clam the scared girl, she slowly comes back towards me and stares. "Hey are you hungry how about we get some food." I suggested.

"How.... know.... won't take.... away," She questioned, "Last time..... stranger.... never..... mommy and daddy again."

I was astonished this young girl was taken, she was not poor or a orphan, but kidnapped. I look at her and smile, "I promise I won't take you away I just want you to have some food in your stomach.... I'm Natsu by the way what's your name?" I questioned.

She looks surprised at first, then her expression changes from surprised to sad, "I don't... my name..." she spoke quietly.

I stare at her thinking then it came to me, "Hey how about I call you Lucy, do you like it?" I laughed out. I look at her and see a smile spread across her face and she nods, she grabs my hand and we get up heading to the nearest place to eat 'Cana's Bar'.

Time Skip

We are sitting at the table stuffing our faces with as much food as we can fit. I'm actually surprised that she eats just like me. "Hey Lucy do you want to get some clothes after this and maybe some shoes so you won't be so cold?" I asked only to receive a muffled response and a nod.

We finally finish and I pay the bill and we head to the dress shop named ' Strauss dresses' its run by a woman named Mira and her siblings. We head in and I talk to the shops owner and she gladly helps, in a short amount of time she found Lucy a dress, coat and shoes.

"Thank you, how much will it cost?" I ask pulling out my wallet.

"No its free, I was happy to help you and she looked very happy also I was just pay a good deed back with a good deed." Mira smiled pushing us out the door.

Me and Lucy spent that whole day together until it was finally time for us to part ways, "Lucy I had a wonderful time with you today, now its time for us to part ways... I hope you find your family one day." I spoke.

"No....don't..... Natsu..... stay with you.....matter what!" Lucy snapped, I looked at her she Had puffy cheeks and a pouty lip.

"Lucy you can't stay with me.... anyone I get close to gets hurt and I don't want you to get hurt because of me okay." I spoke softly as I stared at her sad as it only got sadder by the minute. Then she did it, she had a secret weapon that I didn't know about..... puppy dog eyes. I stared at her big brown eyes that only got bigger and glossier by the minute, finally I gave in. "Fine, but you need a bath first you stink and we need to brush that hair."

"YAYY STAY WITH NATSU!!!" Lucy screamed then continued, "promise.... everything..... you say, but.... question" she spoke

"Yeah what is it Lucy?" I responded wanting to know her question.

"What.... bath" Lucy said.

I looked at her dumbstruck and sighed grabbing her hand explaining it on the way back to the cabin.
