"I don't get it... I just don't get it!" Ozone exclaimed. He had the van parked behind the Russell family homestead. It was morning, the sun was up and he really didn't want to be here. Not this early. Looking over at Tiberius, he could tell that the hawk didn't want to be here either. He was fast asleep again with a book in his lap. Rolling his eyes, Ozone cracked his knuckles and punched the red tail in the shoulder, waking him. Rubbing his eyes, Tiberius yawned, "What? Five more minutes..."

"Stay awake ya pigeon! I'm talking here!" Ozone hissed. Shaking his head in frustration, the Sphynx cat waved one paw towards the large house in front of them. "It's ten in the morning and it looks like nobody is home! The family is supposed to be in London. Yet last night the place was full of life!" the feline ranted. Gripping the steering wheel, he continued, "Something isn't right... go check it out."

"Why me?!" Tiberius demanded. Frowning when he heard that, Ozone slowly turned his head towards his partner. In the meantime, the red tailed hawk questioned, "Why do I have to go up and see if anyone is home?! Why don't you do anything?!" Grabbing the hawk's beak and clamping it shut with a white knuckled grip, Ozone hissed in his face angrily, "Cuz I told you to! I'm the leader! I'm the one with the bold ideas!" Freeing his beak, Tiberius retorted, "But I am the brains of this duo! I'm also eight years older than you!"

"I'm not scared of anything!"

"Please! You're scared of heights!"

"Like you're any better! You're afraid of spiders and guns!"

"You know that last one is because of PTSD!"

"Oh, I'm sorry you weren't cut out for the army!"

"Neither are you!"

"Alright, how about we settle this like men and fight for the position of leader?" Ozone suggested. Nodding his head, Tiberius growled threateningly, "You're dead!" Getting out of the van, he expected Ozone to follow him. However, the hairless feline was still inside the vehicle. And he had just locked the doors. Marching through the snow to the driver's side, the hawk snarled, "You yellow bellied coward."

"I'm not unlocking these doors until you find out what's going on with this house," Ozone replied smugly. He smirked, showing his golden tooth. Scowling, Tiberius muttered, "I hate you so much right now." The cat merely waved goodbye. He received a low growl in response. Stretching his wings, Tiberius huffed before making his way to the back door of the house.
