-<Edd's POV>-

Matt froze beneath me, his red eyes widening in shock. Something in Tom's voice had coaxed him, calmed his nerves. So, I attempted to follow up on his comment.

"It's ok Matt, we're your friends, and we won't hurt you. You just need to calm down."

His crimson eyes softened, blood brimming like tears in his eyes. His jaw trembling, he let out a single word, a whispery breath that lasted only a moment.

"Friends..."

-<Matt's POV>-

I opened my eyes into slits, groaning at the light that peered into them. Not sunlight, but definitely still not the nicest feeling in the world. I was laying on a violet bed, the walls painted an odd magenta color. My room...

I suddenly became aware of the fact my hoodie was getting a little too hot on me, so tearing it off, I looked for something else to wear over my white T-shirt. Pulling open a drawer on my dresser, I searched for something to wear.

Pulling out something I liked, I changed out of my weirdly blood scented clothing, and put the new outfit on. A black shirt that said 'I <3 myself' and blue jeans. Feels a little odd to be wearing this but eh...

I walked out of my room, a little cautious. I was still in the house, so Tom might still have that harpoon. Although I don't ever recall meeting them, I feel like I know them. Like, really know them...

The smell of cooking meat caught my attention. Bacon. My mouth watered, not like when I smell blood, but all the same, it smelled amazing.

Hurrying now, dodging some sunlight that seeped through the windows, I arrived in the kitchen, that brunette setting a pan in the sink. Livestock... NO! He's not livestock! He's a friend of mine...

The conflict in my mind was stopped short as the shorter brown haired boy hugged me. "Matt! Your awake! Thank goodness!" He cried, happiness overflowing in his voice.

I bit my lip, his scent becoming near unbearable to resist. Just a little sip... it will be quick...

Again, thoughts were cut short as Tom passed by, his voice snapping me out of my trance. "Edd, remember, don't touch him. I already told you, he's a vampire." He said it like it was some contagious disease, and I felt my anger rise.

"O-oh... right. Sorry, I forgot," Edd pulled away, the loss of his embrace was almost painful. These are my friends...

How am I supposed to remember someone I never met?
